Hi all, I've taken a bit of a break from here after our FET ended back in February. Forgetting about TTC has really helped me mentally. However my query now is how people feel physically after ivf? During our FET I was told I had a cyst and something going on with 1 of tubes, and I have a fibroid (knew that already)looking back I really don't get why they went ahead with the transfer 😕but what's done is done. Since then (sorry too much info coming) my periods have been horrendous, really really heavy and for 1 day each cycle unmanageable. Also around my ovulation I'm so bloated and uncomfortable. My periods have always been heavy, but not this bad, and I've never been so bloated around ovulation. I'm going to gp on Fri to push for a referral, but just wanted to see if anyone else felt like this? Maybe it's normal to change?
Thanks for reading xox

Hi jm22, My body has definitely changed. Never had period pains before but now I do. Pretty bad as well. I can feel when I'm going to ovulate as I get sharp pains near my ovaries if I cough. I feel tired and bloated a lot too. Had my final transfer last week so I'm feeling pretty tense at the moment too! Good luck with your next steps.x
Thanks for your message. Good luck for ur test day, really hope u get ur bfp ☺I went to gp on Fri and she was great, did bloods and we will take it from there when results are in. It really does help having a gp who really listens ☺xo
Have you tried acupuncture to help your periods. Mine are amazing since I’ve been going to an acupuncturist. No clotting, no pms... it’s also relaxing.
It’s really great to have a break to catch your breath and good to get your body back to normal.
Thanks for ur reply, no I've never tried acupuncture, I'm a bit of a wimp 🙈but it sounds like it's worth trying. My gp said there are things they can do for me while we are ttc to ease period, just waiting for blood results. All the best for ur journey ☺xox
The acupuncture needles are so thin you can barely feel them. Nothing like injection needles. There is also a thing called acupressure. It’s like acupuncture without the needles. That might be worth looking into.
