Bruising after injections

I got through my first two cycles ok with Bemfola injections although I am not comfortable with needles in general. Now on my 3rd round it starts hurting and yesterday it took 2 trials, even bled quite a lot and bruised visibly. This is new and the clinic said it is due to my body being a bit sensitive after 2 cycles and all the injections. Did you find a way to make it easier? Any tricks? At the moment I pinch some fat, needle in, let go and press. Does a bit of cooling help? Going more to the sides of the tummy? I am getting quite scared now every evening.

Try using a piece of ice on the area you are going to do the injection first it will numb the area slightly it might help !

It sounds strange but I have found that some areas where I go to insert the needle hurt immediately so I stop and try a different spot. I’m not sure if I’m meant to do this but I’ve normally managed to find a spot that doesn’t hurt at all and I’ve never had any bruising 🤞🏻

Yeah, this is what I did yesterday. Will keep on trying then!
