The whole process is stressful and anxiety inducing and there's no real way around that unfortunately. However, what helped me was always trying to remember that it's a means to an end and it gives you a chance to have your baby.
Try to keep life as normal as you can while you wait for treatment to start - have holidays and days out with your partner. I found it helped to have something to look forward to, like a night away now and again.
My little boy (the result of our second round of IVF) is 14 weeks. He's amazing and we still can't believe he's ours to keep. We're learning to navigate our way through parenthood and weekends away are way down our list of priorities right now, so I'd say make the most of your time together now.
Angelguide1982 yes it’s really stressful but like someone said it’s worth it at the end . I have been trying for years and I’m 2015 i was referred to a gynaecologist after several appt and all found out in 2016 after laparoscopy I had mild endometriosis. Myself and previous partner separated and got married to someone else 2018. Luckily I was already a patient in d clinic and knew what the problem was. I was readmitted and they had to do test n scan for my husband who is azoospermia. We are now in the ivf clinic and had our first appt already. I believe by d second appt we should be ready to start as all blood test n scans will be back . All I am saying is, don’t panic and don’t stress all will come out good at the end hopefully . I am always on this page(healthunlocked) to read people’s story and it gives me hope . I can’t wait to get started as I am very positive about the journey .
