1st Fertility Appointment & Shocker ...

So we had our 1st Appointment at the Fertility Clinic on 23/05/2019 ... My period was 2 days late, but I've been up to 4 days late so many times I know not to get my hopes up anymore! Appointment went well, told us that they would run another test on me, the Hysterosalpingogram (HSG), and from there they would suggest 6 months on Chlomid before IVF. This gave me some hope as I finally felt we were getting somewhere. 2 days later (on the Saturday) I woke up with weird abdominal pain on my right hand side. It started around 9.30am, and at 7.30pm it still hadn;t gone. I ended up going to the Badger Clinic as my doctor's was closed ... As usual i had to give a pee sample, and as usual I told them the history with Fertility Issues and now being under the Infertility Clinic ... so, you can imagine my complete and utter shock when 15 minutes after giving my wee sample i was called back into the room and told they had tested my sample twice and both had produced positive Pregnancy Test Results. I am now 6 weeks and 1 day into my 1st Trimester and I could not be happier! Obviously it is still very early, and so we have an early reassurance scan booked for 29th June 2019 ... If it can happen to me, please know it can happen to you too. xxx

Thank You so much It is very early days, and every day is a blessing x I do worry something will go wrong (but I think that is because I have waited so long), and I keep expecting my period to show, but it doesn't. I think once I have had the scan (even though it is early) I will feel calmer xx

It's not quite sunk in, and it doesn't quite seem real, and I am trying not to get my hopes up xx I just hope and pray everyone else on this gets the news and the baby they all desire and deserve so much xx This site isn't just about our own journeys, it's about each others and making sure we all take care of each other xx
