2WW 4dp5dt - BFN

Why oh why did I do a HPT 😩😭😢 I was binging on YouTube & google yesterday and women were getting BFP’s (faint but positive) I woke up this morning convinced I would get one too.... worst mistake!!!! I now feel so crap... I really wish I didn’t 😭😭😭

I actually thought implantation had already taken place as I’ve had dull aches and cramping since ET which has now stopped... breast feel tender and swollen, I couldn’t stay awake past 9pm yesterday...

Then a BFN.... to bring me back to my senses! I know it’s early days but after 7yrs TTC I’m just a nervous wreck during this 2WW😣😖😩

Step away from the tests!! 4dp5dt is sooooo early! I read that implantation takes place by day 5 so even if it had by now you wouldn’t have enough hormones to show on a test, wait a few more days! Xx

I definitely will be stepping away from all tests and google after today. I knew it was way to early but still tried my luck.

Thnx x

Super early to test. Forget about the test today and stick to your OTD. Praying for you

It's so early lovely. Please try not to be disheartened. You've still got a few days yet of the 2ww.

Stay strong 💪 you've got this!! x x

It’s definitely just too early! Give it a couple more days and try again! Don’t lose hope, hardly anyone gets a positive that early xxxx

That's such an early time to test. I took my first test 9dp5dt and had a strong BFP I wouldn't take that result as anything hun. Wait until you're OTD good luck x

As per book on 6dp5dt there is secret HCG appearing in your body. Some people might show it on that day or bit early then that (I did twice) but this is super early and definitely far too early on 4dp5dt! Retest in couple of days to see more definite response. Good luck!

Hi dani_li

Yes 7 long years... I blame NHS waiting lists tbh as it sometimes took 6mnths to a year between appointments😩

I do already have a 10 year old daughter conceived naturally and unplanned hence why it’s taken us so long to finally get to this stage.

Initially... doctors and dh didn’t really take it seriously “it’ll happen... it happened before” etc etc

But after two years I began many rounds of clomid with no success.

I was then put on a long waiting list to have a laparoscopy and dye. I had the procedure and told both tubes were blocked and there was nothing they could do.

6months later at a follow up appointment with the consultant he basically told me he would un block my tubes as the previous surgeon lacked experience 🤭 so... back on the waiting list for the second procedure. Meanwhile there was no issue with dh’s sperm analysis.

Consultant was only able to unblock one of my tubes and felt there was a good chance of us conceiving...

another year passed and still no joy!

They requested my dh retested his sperm again to be told the quality was not good.

Now IVF and ICSI is our only option and self funded because we already have one child in the home.

So her we are spending most our savings for this one cycle of IVF.

If this doesn’t work I don’t know what we will do next if anything. As much as we really want a bigger family I am also so grateful to be a mother already as it truly is the best job in the world. I have appreciated every aspect of motherhood, I don’t feel I am useless or my life is incomplete without more children as god blessed us with one and maybe that’s all we’re supposed to have. I don’t know..... I just try to keep a realistic approach I guess to lessen any blow of failure.

Anyway thanks for being interested in my journey... you made me actually sit and think about all we’ve been through.

What stage are you at? What has your journey been like?

Ah 4 days is too early. Forget it even happened! I know it's soooooo hard but try not to test until your OTD. You run the risk of a false positive due to trigger or picking up a chemical pregnancy early on which doesn't develop. You'll also save £££ on tests, as even if you pick up a positive you'll want to keep testing to make sure. At least on OTD you can be sure it's correct either way. Try and keep busy :-)

Good luck xx

Hi mushy19, was just wondering, how did you get on in the end? ☺️

Hi vic

This post was after my 1st transfer which I did get a BFP about 5/6 dpt but the pregnancy sadly ended with a miscarriage at 6 1/2 weeks.

After undergoing further testing (NKcells) I had my second transfer in September. We got another BFP from 4dpt and I am now 30weeks pregnant with a lil boy.

Thnx for asking... it’s been a rollercoaster of a journey but feel so pleased and blessed to almost have my dreams come true.

Wishing you all the best x

Hi

I’m sorry to hear about your miscarriage. And I’m am so pleased to hear your great news. I’m currently on my first FET and I’m 5dp5dt and did a hpt yesterday but it was negative. Going to hold out as long as possible before I do another one. Congrats again! Wishing you all the best xx

Awe bless 5dpt is definitely still early days, try not to be too disheartened yet...

I would advise you to stay away from the tests as hard as it may be.

Your not alone and I totally understand as I didn’t listen to my own advice, Zero self control and tested everyday of both 2ww’s.

I guess being on lockdown makes things a whole lot harder to stay occupied and distract yourself. Just stay strong.. and sane during this time.

My fingers are crossed for you and hope your Lil embie is snuggling in nicely and you will have some good news soon 😘

Hi

Yes being on lockdown really doesn’t help! It’s so hard to distract myself.

Thank you for your words of encouragement ☺️, it helps!

Take care xx
