Pain and discomfort after Egg Collection yesterday

Hi ladies , on my 2nd round if IVF , eh collection was yesterday and feeling very tender around abdominal area. Even when I'm walking I can feel a bit of pain , but when I sit down I'm so uncomfortable and have a stabbing pain when I initially sit down, so I'm moving around really slowly. Very bloated too.I hope I have explained this properly lol! Anyone else have this sort of discomfort? My first round I dont remember feeling like this! Any advice would be so great x

It’s horrible, I know. I recommend a warm hot water bottle, lots of water and paracetamol. It will get better xx

Yes I felt exactly the same last week. You’ll feel a little better each day. I also used a hot water bottle and paracetamol. Rest up x

As has been mentioned, I used hot water bottles. I tried not to sit down too much as keeping my body/ organs scrunched up didn’t help! Either standing or lying was better. I tried to keep my bladder as empty as possible as the bloating/ pain did get a bit sore. Also try to get some really good sleep if you can so the body has time to heal. It gets better I promise x

Aww it's not nice. I cried all the way home from the clinic as I was so uncomfortable in the car 😔 I found a hot water bottle and paracetamol helped. Also try not to let your bladder get too full - that used to be really uncomfortable for me, even a few days after. Things will settle down soon 😘 just take it easy lovely x x x

I was in quite some pain when I woke up from collection, while somehow I had expected it to be painless (two of my friends had a painless experience). I took paracetamol and the pain went away in 2/3 weeks (phasing out gradually during that time.

Hey hun. I felt exactly the same with my 1st round. I had exactly the same you described plus constipation sorry tmi. It took a week till I felt better. Hope you get better soon xx
