Hi all, I’ve been listening to a podcast called BFN (Big Fat Negative) about TTC and have found it really helpful to normalise a lot of the problems.

Anyone else know of any good podcasts, books, other resources? X

Book: "Unsung Lullabies: Understanding and Coping with Infertility", it helped me a bit to cope but made me cry more than once...

Ah thanks, is it worth a read though? X

The book is pretty "harsh" and, as I said, it made me cry more than once, so beware of what it can bring to the surface. On the other hand, it made me reflect on some aspects of my life and of fertility (and thus the crying), and mature a more general feeling of forgiveness and understanding, (or perhaps just calm and acceptance).

I love a podcast for my commute so have just downloaded the BFN. After my own BFN I had to take a break from all things fertility related but I think I’m ready to dip back in now. Beat infertility podcast has some good episodes, the ones where they speak to doctors and experts are particularly good I thought. I also use the mindful ivf app, my 1st foray into mindfulness and it seems to be working well for me.

That’s brilliant - I also enjoy a commute podcast, you’ll like this one 😊 I’ve just found the app too...

I’m trying to invest some time in my own mental health as it’s too way to get overwhelmed xx

There’s a book I’ve heard is good called Get A Life: His and Hers Survival Guide to IVF, I’ve ordered it, supposed to be a good look into the feelings of both parties from a couple who went through it xx

in reply toLunaLovegood11

I borrowed that from the library and found it really helpful. Also quite funny in places xx
