Hello, I am a newbie here. My HB and I have been told we have a 6 month wait before starting our first cycle of IVF. We are a fairly healthy couple, however I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to make sure we are both ready for this cycle.

Thank you x

I'm not a big expert in this sphere maybe they just want to insure in your health conditions. because we didn't wait for a so long time. btw, are you doing your ivf with oe ? then I don't understand why. ask your consultant or doctor. and don't panic before time. try to relaks and have more positive moments, support your husband and everything will be ok.

please keep me updated, just curious why is that?

Thanks for your reply. We are on the NHS waiting list. Sorry I am not sure what oe is?

We haven't been told to change anything we just want to make sure we are in tip top condition before we start the treatment. I have read lots online and was just curious if anyone had any tips e.g. What are the best vitamins to take, cutting anything out of our diet.

Thanks x

I understand you want to find there support but I don't know what problem you talking about. what vitamins? during the stimulation? I used to take vitamin E, aspirin , folic acid and metypred if I'm not mistaken

Welcome and good luck for the future! We also took the his and hers pregnancy vitamins and fish oils too.

We too are pretty healthy but I made sure i had extra avacado, eggs, spinach and kale etc. I cut down on caffeine and alcohol and not sure if you would be interested but I believe that acupuncture played a massive part in our success. I started it before our cycle and all the way through.

Good luck and we are here to support you along the way xxx
