IVF cancelled, Follicles didn't grow big enough for Egg retrieval

My first IVF cycle failed as my follicles didn't grow enough to be retrieved. My period came on time/ a little late at 30 days as usually I have a 23 day cycle but I have been bleeding now for 14 days. Has anyone had experience with this... naturally I'm super emotional and tired. I care for my partners children from his previous marriage and I don't want to be bitter around them as it's not fair and they are lovely... but not having any children of my own is affecting me and my relationship not only with them but with my partner and even with my friends and family with babies... 😞

Hi Pina-no-bambina. So sorry to hear that your treatment cycle failed, and can fully understand how upset you must be. Hopefully, the clinic will have learnt a lot about you and will be able to adjust your medication to suit you better. If you haven't tried any counselling, then it might be a good idea. There is a charity called the British Infertility Counselling Association that deal solely with fertility issues and relationships.
