I was referred six weeks ago to UCLH and I was just wondering if anyone had been through them recently and could give me a clue as to how long till first appointment? I haven't received any correspondence, there are no wait times listed online, and the general contact centre just keep telling me my referral is in 'triage' where it has been for the last five weeks. For my mental health, I need some fricking idea how long this is going to take.
Thank you xxxx

Hi recidwen. Please do not mention clinics by name unless by private message. Unfortunately the waiting time can be up to 18 weeks. If you know the name of your specialist you will be seeing, you could try and speak with his/her secretary for further information. The waiting is the worst part, then it will be all systems go once started. Good luck! Diane
Hi. I am also waiting for referal to my local hospital clinic. It must have been about 6 weeks now since the referal officially went in. From what I can gather, it normally takes about 3 months, possibly even longer in some areas. I feel your pain in the waiting game! In the meantime I am just keeping myself busy and occupied and patiently waiting now. Hope you get an appointment soon xx
