Hi, I hope you are all well .... it’s been a while and a lot has happened since my beautiful boy passed away... but I’m feeling in a much better place 😊
So I’d like to ask if anyone is single and decided to have donor sperm? What happens? How does it all work? I’ve got an appointment in June for a consultation but I’d like to know as much as I can before hand
Much love Cat

Firstly, you are actually incredible. I am amazed at your resilience and courage. You are a true inspiration 💛
I still have a partner, but IVF has had a big impact on our relationship and I / we are also also looking at donor sperm.
From what I understand, the process is very simple. There are a few major sperm banks that even voice recordings of your donor!
Because of Brexit, most clinics in the UK are not accepting sperm from outside the country at the moment. This restricts your choice.
Greece has one of the most relaxed polices and great clinics. Spain is more difficult because they don’t let you have complete donor profiles.
Thank you so much for your kind words 😊 I've been amazed at how many wonderful people I have in my life. Do you know how I would go about choosing a donor when I don't have a partner to base it on? Or how they choose? I've not looked into going abroad..... Something to think about xx
It’s because you are amazing 💛 I am literally in awe of your strength.
The best thing about choosing a donor without a partner is freedom!! You can choose the genetics yourself
Imagine your baby: what does he or she look like? What is her or his personality?
Visualise it and write down a list of qualities you want. A bit like dating, but without any disappointment
Then go through the database and find a match. I will send you the link via DM. It takes awhile, but sit back, relax, and slowly go through all the profiles.
Choose one, then order it to your clinic and just be mindful of shipping times. It’s as simple as that ❤️
Hey Cat, so lovely to hear from you and really glad to hear that you are doing a little better! I cant help with advice but hopefully some of the other single ladies will get in touch! Wishing you all the best for your appointment, lots of love.xx
Im good thanks! Feels like ages since our loss and itching to get started again. Just waiting on AF and we get set for our next transfer....wishing my life away here as usual! Ha ha haxx

Can’t give any advice on DS unfortunately, but I’m sure I remember someone saying to me what the egg and sperm contribute to at the end....
Our DE had a similar personality and life outlook to me, but she’s slightly taller and bigger in build, but I figured hubby is bigger than me anyway and the donor had curly hair..I have straight hair, but hubby had curly hair as a youngster, so all ties in
I cant comment on your question but just wanted to say so good to see you back. Your an amazing person, so strong and brave.
Wishing you so much luck for your next step xxxxxx
As messaged Cat, welcome back. You are an amazing warrior and so strong. I can't help on the donor egg side but just wanted to wish you well. You really do deserve this to be your time. Big hugs and love to you xx
Hi lovely, I've just read back through your story and just wanted to say I think you're absolutely phenomenally brave. I'm so sorry for the loss of your gorgeous little boy, and wish you all the luck in the world with your donor sperm quest x
I’m not single but we are using donor sperm. There are limited sperm banks in the UK but some clinics even have their own. Or you can choose one from abroad.
Choosing someone who looked like my OH meant our choices were limited but you can just decide what you want and go for it. Wishing you the best of luck xx
What a strong, amazing lady you are. So pleased to hear you are in a better place and I wish you every luck for your future treatments. Take care of yourself lovely.xx
