Blood Tests following BFP

Hi all, today was my official test day and still a strong positive. Called the clinic with the news and they give me more meds and booked me in for a 7 week scan. Shouldn’t they have also booked me for a blood test? Or is this just clinic dependent? They have given me extra pessaries, so now on 3 a day rather than 2 but how would they know I need to increase without testing? Confused 🤷‍♀️

Congratulations! My clinic don’t do bloods either, just a scan about 6.5 to 7 weeks xx

Mine don’t do bloods either, just the test. Congrats on your BFP. I just got mine too. Do you have your scan booked in?

Our is 7th. Wishing the time away! Trying not to think too much about it. Don't feel very preggo apart from continued IVF bloat and very very occasional sore boobs. How about you? How are you feeling?

I know, if all goes well they said they will just discharge me back to GP and then follow normal pregnancy route. I haven’t been too bad, but sick at 5am this morning, maybe it’s the meds though. Clinic said to stay on the for 12 weeks. Keep me updated after your scan, would be lovely to hear how you get on. X

Yes and you. Think after my early May scan assuming everything’s ok then I’ll move to the GP. I’ll be glad to be off Cyclogest. Eventually!! X

My NHS clinic didn't do bloods. Only a positive test then booked a scan. Everywhere seems to be a bit different! Congratulations!!xx

My clinic didn’t offer bloods either! They booked me in for a scan and did bloods after as they couldn’t see anything on the scan as I’d ovulated later on clomid than they thought so they had to check my bloods then. Doesn’t seem to be a common thing they do unless they really need to.

Congrats too!! Take it easy but enjoy every minute, I know they fear never leaves us ladies but try and enjoy it ✨❤️Xx
