This is a post for those who are using sperm donors- I’ve had four failed cycles using the same donor and have to purchase new sperm for my next cycle. My wife and I are considering a new donor- does anyone have any knowledge or experience if changing donors may be beneficial in increasing success rates? I have found very little research on this...

To change or not to change sperm donor
I don’t have any advice other than to say we are also using donor sperm and if it doesn’t work a few times then I’d consider moving on.
That said, donor sperm is so well screened that it’s unlikely there is anything wrong with it but if it doesn’t feel right then I guess there’s no reason not to move on.
The only real limitation would be paying for another family slot (if your in the UK) I suppose.
Wishing you lots of luck xx
Hi there, I drop in from time to time as this site was my saviour for a few years. I'm lucky enough to be a mum now to a gorgeous 17 month old boy, but I had a long journey getting there. I did 4 rounds of ivf with the same sperm donor, 3 fresh full rounds and 1 frozen... I fell pregnant and miscarried on 2 and BFN on 2 rounds, all this in London. I decided to move my treatment and went with ivf abroad in Athens, changing the donor and fell pregnant and it worked out... I think it's worth the change, I remember at first I was adament I didn't want to change donor and after 4 goes I thought its worth a go.
Good luck with whatever you decide and your ongoing treatment.. Its such a hard slog but very worth it.
Best wishes Jackie x
My acupuncturist said to us, that if this time which was our first ivf, but we had also used iui with same donor didn’t with then change. I would change.
