Hello there,

I am about to have my 1st appointment at our clinic for the ivf. I was wondering what shall I expect ? I was very relaxed until now but lately I am bit scared. My tests are all good and there is a problem with my partners sperm quality.

Hiya

I haven't had mine yet but just wanted to say good luck. I had been emailing Dianne recently at the Fertility Network UK and she kindly gave me a list of potential questions to ask. I can't find it now but will try and dig it out my inbox (it's being a bit silly today and not playing ball!)

Or you could contact her direct on 0121 323 5025 between 10am – 4pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, or email her at support@fertilitynetworkuk.org.

Hope it goes well! xx

Hello

Have you filled all of your forms in? If you haven't your appointment may be going through a mountain of forms and some more bloods (you have to have an HIV test within 3 months of starting etc). I've just had this appointment last month. I can completely appreciate where your coming from of being excited to start but terrified at the exact same time!

Good luck!!

x

I haven’t done any paperwork yet as we are booked in for next week. I just wanted to prepare myself. I am a bit scared of all the medication I will have to take. I am not sure if I’m every case is the same amount of injections etc.

Thank you.

I'm sure some of the ladies on here will be able to tell you much more info as I think I am one appointment ahead of you. I have found a lot of information on the HFEA website and The Duff and Preggers Kitchen which broke it all down and really explained what is going on and the different time lines. Like the girl that posted first said it is a really good idea to have questions prepared as you can so easily get bamboozled with all the information they give you. Let me know how you get on?

xx
