I just wanted to know is babys movements more routine as I am 24 weeks pregnant. Like yesterday baby was very active and was kicking and moving like crazy and today shes been so lazy! Like kicked me a few times! Its nothing to be worried about is it?

Main thing is I can feel baby inside! Just wish it was more active instead of being lazy! Hope somebody can advice me, i was getting worried

I’m 23 weeks pregnant and haven’t noticed a routine as such yet..I usually feel lots of movement by the time I get to work in the morning and when I eat it tends to get him going. Especially chocolate! 😂 As long as you are feeling movements, I don’t think you have anything to worry about. When’s your next midwife? X

I'm nearly 26 weeks and I think it's really tricky to notice a pattern...mine has been a busy little bee since about 20 weeks, but no obvious timings yet, and I think that's ok (midwives have told me you can start to notice a pattern around 25 weeks, but I haven't yet) Like kirstyblue said the feeling the movements is the good thing 😊 If I'm worried I've not felt her for a while I usually have a pint of cold water and then sit quietly for 20 mins or so (not always possible I know) but I think we miss movements when we're just busy going about our days. Try not to worry hun, but if you are really concerned can you call your midwife (or hospital triage we have here), they've been so reassuring to me xx

I’ve googled the hell out of this too. I’m almost 21 weeks and some days she’s really active, some days not so much. I only had a scan yesterday and all was fine but today she wasn’t very active although as I type this, she’s now having a good squirm. It’s a bit stressful at this stage trying to figure out a pattern to movements xx

I didn’t get any kind of routine movements in the whole of my pregnancy so wouldn’t worry too much. If you notice a big reduction in movement I would go and get checked out though. Don’t ever feel silly or that you’re wasting their time, they would rather you come a dozen times than not at all xxx

Hi

My baby was so unpredictable one day she would kick all day next she would hardly move I would say if ur worried drink Ice cold water and lay down should hopefully make the baby move and maternity normally r really good if u feel like you have reduced movements I went in a couple of times and got a scan all the best x

My LG was very active one day and then quiet the next. When I googled it seemed quite normal. I told my midwife and she told me off because she said baby should feel the same every day. I wasn’t worried though as that seemed her routine from early on in movements. Obviously don’t go by me if your worried. Speak to your midwife or triage line. I think they say start tracking a routine around 26 weeks xx

Hi Rasa

I am 24 weeks +2 and i fell there is no patent yet your baby can sleep for 20 40 or 90 minutes at a time the only thing that can affect your babys movements is if you take painkillers ie paracetamol can slow them down or if you are constipated it can also slow down babys movements but nuthing to worry about i was given a book by my midwife and its all about baby movements and it tells you what you need to know maybe ask your midwife for on just to keep you right. Best of luck xx

Hii ladies thank you for the replies, little baby was active this morning i did the ‘shine torch light on belly’ method within aeconds she gave a kick so hard! Maybe shes being lazy and sleeping alot. Her patterns are like 7am she does somersaults flips etc.. then around 11am i can feel a few kicks then she goes to sleep! Thne around 2pm shes active again and then evening around 6-8pm. Thats how it was for the last few days but from yesterday that pattern hasnt been in sync which is why i got worried.

I never had a pattern with either of mine. Some days they would kick line crazy and others not so much. It is really stressful trying to figure a pattern out so I stopped trying. As long as I felt some movement every couple of hrs I was happy.
