Confusion about my period

On Friday morning I had the gutting first signs of my period - often starts with spotting that gets darker and darker (almost black), before my period starts. On Sunday I had a tiny bit of blood, but then it stopped. The same has happened again this morning.

I had this last summer, and it ended up in a horrendeously heavy period; some months later when having blood tests they suggested it was an early miscarriage.

I know I ovulated this cycle - the first time in a long time - and now I'm scared the same thing is happening again.

Has anyone experienced this?

I'm heart broken that yet another month has passed with no joy for us, but now I know my period is starting I just want it over with so we can try again.

Would love to know if anyone has had similar signs and what could be happening?

Hi Laren. Don't really know what to say. I assume you have seen your GP and been referred for investigations, just in case you do have a problem. Thinking of you. Diane

I have, annoyingly the fertility clinic/our GP messed up with the order of appointments so everything was cancelled. But I do have an ultrasound next month, alongside a blood test. Hoping to see the fertility clinic in the summer. I just wish I knew what my body was doing!
