When I called the doctors they said it says it could be because I’m overweight.

Anyone else had something similar?

HI Giraffe, I had this when going through tests for pcos /infertility. Because I had this hormone profile, with progesterone through the floor at 1, combined with >12 follicles and lack of periods, I was diagnosed with pcos and put on metformin.

I took this with inofolic and other vitamins while going through investigations for a year, before starting clomid and getting pregnant the first try. Currently 9 weeks so still early but feeling hopeful.

Hi Giraffe. Yes, it could well be. I would imagine that your thyroid level s would need to be checked out too, and medication given if needed. You will be advised to lose weight and exercise more to try a get the levels improved, as they do have an effect on your hormones. I'm sure that once you get your weight down, they will be checked out again, and a decision regarding what treatment you will need is made. Good luck! Diane

My thyroid was fine. My weight gain is because of medication

I have take so that will be factored in.

Hi Giraffe. Perhaps you could see a dietitian to ensure the diet you have is particularly suited to you. They will know how certain medication can impact you. Diane
