FET protocol options

Hi, I have recently failed to down regulate and had a cancelled cycle, I’m waiting on my period and I just feel dreadful..moody, irritable, tearful, crampy yet still no period! I’m not sure I can feel like this again but am keen to move forward. My clinic would like me to have a scan after my period to plan the next cycle.

I would like to approach my clinic about trying a protocol for FET that does not include down regulation. I’m not sure a fully natural cycle is the way to go as my cycles have been disrupted since mmc and failed down reg.

Does anybody have any success stories of semi medicated/medicated short FET cycles? X

Hi April, sorry this has happened to you - it’s never straightforward is it. I did down reg long protocol FET last time but my next FET is going to be medicated short protocol as follows.

Start buserelin on day 2.

Start oestrogen patches and tablets on day 4.

Scan at day 16 and then if lining ok and no cysts start luteal support.

Don’t know if it will work yet but it might be another option for you .

Thank you for your reply, I’m going to call them tomorrow to ask some questions and see what they offer I know they do offer natural cycles but say they are less successful but wasn’t given any other options xx
