I’m on CD27, ovulated on CD17. I have a regular 29-33 day cycle and have managed to increase my luteal phase to 12 days my last 4-5 cycles.
My temp this morning remained elevated and steady but i started spotting this morning, just been to the loo and its full on bright red with tiny little clots, so im out again for this month 🥺
I’ve never in my life had a 26 day cycle and my temp always drops for 2 days before AF. Any ideas? I’m so fed up of my body not doing what its supposed to 😔

Hi there, how have you managed to increase your luteal phase? My luteal phase is generally a maximum of 10 days. I usually just use the clear blue smiley face ovulation sticks as for me, these tend to be the easiest to use and there is no guessing on whether the test has finished displaying the result. I've never done temperatures as they sound quite complicated to suss out. Could it just be a "blip" this month? I don't know about you, but for me, my body never really does what it's supposed to do and just does what it wants and I think a lot is down to balancing hormones and everything doing what it's supposed to at the right time. More recently I've given up trying to second guess it all and just been trying to make sure that we dtd every/every other day from days 12 - 20 of my cycle (when my husband is home). I can ovulate anywhere between day 15 -18. I was hoping not doing the tests would hopefully take some of the stress out of it all. Im sorry I am not really able to help but maybe see what happens on your next cycle and if it's the same speak to your gp or consultant? xx
I’m not sure exactly what it was. But i started metformin, reflexology (very helpful) coq10 and dhea along with my fertility multi vitamin. I cut out caffiene and processed sugar during the working week and eat a balanced diet. Saying that, ive done all those things this month with no luck.
After it being cancelled by the hospital previously i have my first appt with fertility specialist in April, although ive heard they dont take luteal phase deficits very seriously x
