I've seen a lot on here that people are having implantation cramps..... we had our transfer on Tuesday and so far nothing. Although I'm pleased I'm not having cramps generally I'm a bit anxious that I'm not having implantation cramps..... any advice would be welcome. This is our first transfer so all very new to us xx
No implantation cramps yet..... - Fertility Network UK
No implantation cramps yet.....
I wouldn’t think too much into it..not everybody gets them. I did but I don’t think it was till about 7 days after.
Good luck x
Thanks Kirsty, was that with a day 5 egg. I have a slight almost aching feeling. God you over think everything don't you! xx
Of three bfps mine have always felt exactly the same as af cramping, technically not true cramping at all.. and the earliest of those was on days 6/7dp. It’s still really early xx
I have read it’s only a few people have implantation cramps or bleeding. With my first cycle I had loads of ‘implantation’ pains and got a BFN. Second I got no pains at all and got a BFP. Impossible I know but I wouldn’t read into any of it. Good luck xx
Thank you Daisy, wouldn't it just be nice if we could see what's going on in there! x
My bloods where only 15 unfortunately x
I never had implantation cramps in any of my pregnancies, try not to think about it too much you'll drive yourself mad!!! Xxxxxxxxx
I would try, try. Not to read into it. But that easier said than done. I’ve had cramps and sharp pains since transfer day and I’m 99% sure I am out. Just going for my bloods now to confirm. I feel like a period is ready to come. So just because you have no cramping, means nothing. Good luck x
Good luck on your bloods - I had lots of cramping & was convinced I was out after one cramp felt exactly like a period cramp the night before testing - I was gutted. But it turned out that wasn’t the case at all and got a BFP. Hope it’s the same for you xx
Thank you , I really feel out though. I’ve already had a failed donor cycle a few months back and feel the same too 😪 xx
I don't think I t is compulsory to have the cramp. a friend of mine had her transfer three weeks ago no cramps no nothing but had a positive result in her PT.
I wish you all the best
Mine were 6-7 days after. They were really strong so at the time questioned what was going on (waking me at night!). Although implantation process starts earlier, think the cramps happen later as the blasto beds in.
That being said, most people don’t feel these cramps at all so try not to worry if you don’t get them (easier said than done I know). Literally every symptom you get (or don’t get) can be explained by progesterone/early preg signs/period). I kept reminding myself of that to get me through the 2ww and it helped.
Wishing you lots of luck & most importantly - I hope you’re taking care of yourself during this time 🙂
Xxx
I’ve been having minor cramps but I read that the blastocyst is so so tiny and everything is happening on such a microscopic scale there isn’t any chance you could feel it anyway, so doctors think it is psychosomatic.
Also if you have the ovulation calculator app, they have a really good article about first signs of pregnancy which is the largest survey I’ve ever seen and they don’t mention the cramps. The first sign for almost everyone is missed period along with sore boobs. Since the blastocyst is only just implanting you shouldn’t really have any symptoms except for those related to progesterone until it starts releasing HCG which is after day 7...
so I just would try not to overthink if you can! Although easier said than done of course 😂
I had a successful fresh IVF cycle and a failed FET and had cramps both times. I think it’s the progesterone more than anything else. I had three naturally conceived pregnancies and never noticed anything. I wouldn’t predict the outcome based on cramps alone.
How are you feeling x
I'm good thanks, have some feelings of aching and maybe very light cramps but nothing significant. I'm sorry to read about your blood results. How are you feeling? x
