Hey guys. Just a quick update on where I’m at.

To date have done 4 icsi rounds only two rounds ever getting to transfer. With only one blastocyst to transfer each time 😢

This round we collected 8 eggs. Only 3 mature. 2 fertilized and 1 made it to a 3ab blastocyst the other one was not good enough to freeze.

My consultant went ahead with my 5 day transfer even though my lining was only 6.5mm which I was concerned about and I also had a pocket of fluid still there day of transfer left after egg retrieval. I would of preferred to freeze and try grow my lining but she said lining was not that much of a concern when doing a fresh cycle.!!!! I know it’s easy to point blame when something doesn’t work but I really feel our little blast never had much of a chance with such a thin lining 😢 any feed back on this girls !!!???

Anyways, I shall take today with my husband to cry and get over what feels like another devastating loss. You would think at this stage with all the failed cycles it would get easier.... it really doesn’t 😢😢😢

I am so so sorry, I think every loss gets harder not easier, I know how gutting it can be. I'm afraid I can't advise re.lining,my clinic like it to be at least 7mm. Sending you lots of virtual hugs xx

Awww lovely I'm so sorry! I agree lining should have been a bit thicker, you can perhaps bring this up with the consultant. My clinic say at least 7mm and this Is they're absolute minimum. Is today OTD or are you testing early? Bug hugs.xx

Hey Cinderella. Yes, I’m so annoyed with myself that I didn’t stand my ground and ask them to freeze. I knew on day of transfer in my heart that 6.5mm was not thick enough and also the fact that I had a pocket of fluid there didn’t seem to be a good sign. But I guess we always put are trust in our consultant!!

I have tested a day early... OTD is tomorrow, booked into my clinic at 11am for bloods. Can’t see result changing though there isn’t the slightest faint line .

On another note though, I just want to say I think you are so amazing. You are one person I always see replying to every bodies comments. Even after your own fantastic news on your own bfp you still take the time to help the rest of us. Really appreciate it Cinderella ❤️❤️❤️

Please don't blame yourself! It's your consultants responsibility to make the best decision on your behalf, you shouldn't have to second guess anything. From what I know, it's on the thin side so I would defo call them out on both of those things and let them know that you're unhappy! See what happens tomorrow, you never know a day could make a difference. I'm not sure we would have had a bfp at day 11 as out one on day 12 was so faint. So kind of you to say those things but I'm not doing anything out of the ordinary. This is a hell of a lonely and very sad journey and just want to support you like you've supported me. It's one big family here!!💕xx

I’m so sorry to hear about your negative result I would definitely raise your questions re- lining & fluid pocket as it sounds like that’s really knocked your confidence in your clinics decisions (understandably so). We had an issue re them not using ICSI which we were funded for in our last cycle, and the consultant took time to walk us through their decision making which really helped. Xx

I can sympathise. Just finished our second (and probably last) round of IVF. I’m due to do the pregnancy test on the weekend but am convinced it will be BFN as I am starting to get familiar cramps. The worst thing will be telling my husband 😞

I have been there, 4 failed cycles only ever 2 embryos to transfer. We are now contemplating donor eggs but husband finding it hard to get his head around. Mind yourself and its OK to be angry and sad.

Yes, our results sound similar alright. Only we swapped to donor sperm after our first failed two rounds as nothing was making it to day 5 and our clinic felt it was a sperm problem!! Last two rounds we got one egg both times to blastocyst but no implantation. We are from Ireland 🇮🇪 so think we are going to give Prague a go, since success rates seem higher Over there. One last time with my own eggs and donor sperm. After that we will be looking at embryo adoption!!

Definitely hard, tough emotional decisions to be made for both of us ❤️ Good luck with your journey, I will be thinking of you xx

I'm also from Ireland and also did a round in Prague! First two rounds here I got nothing to transfer, third round in Prague two embryos but neither were good quality and fourth round two day 2 embryos transfered but negative, my embryo issues start at day 4... But husbands sperm is all good so everyone telling me its an egg issue. Any questions on prague I'm happy to answer.

That’s mad because are problem always started on day 4 too, that’s why they thought it was a sperm problem as we were told the egg did most the work in the first three days and then Sperm and egg last the last two ? They did further testing with my husbands sperm and found he had high DNA and he also came back with a positive FISH test that means some of his sperm had chromosome problems. They say these were reasons we prob werent getting any embryos further than day 4. The clinic I’m with at the mo, don’t seem to be doing a great job of getting me on the right protocol or maybe not triggering me at the right time!! as I seem to be producing the eggs but always more than half are immature. Which has only been leaving me with only 3 or 2 to even try fertilize never mind making it to a day 5!!! Just totally lost all confidence in them. Defo would love your feed back on Prague. There are two clinics in particular we are looking at but really are lost when trying to pick. Would you mind pm me some info and what your experience was like 👍

Fingers crossed🤞🏻, I’ve struggled with my lining since MC the month I fell pregnant it was 8.9.... but the last 2 months I struggled to get past 5....

Consultant thinks clomid medication they have given me is thining my lining, so taking a month off this month and extra vitamins to help. Xx

Oh.... the dreaded lining. That’s what I aim to work on big time on my next round. As only got mine to 6.5 this time. Heard vitamin e, and l- arginine is meant to really help. Also some consultants suggest vaginal viagra !! And my Acupunturist said hot water bottles front and back !! Sure we will give anything a go 👍👍
