Hi Ladies,

I have my first IVF Scan coming up in 9 days! Excited and nervous!

Can anyone tell me what they are looking for at the first scan? Is it thick or thin lining? Ideal number of follicles at the start? Any insights appreciated xx

Thanks, Nicola

Hi, if it’s a down reg scan they’re looking for a thin lining if it’s first scan from stims then follicles starting and a thickening lining will be what they’re looking from our experience, hope that helps x

Yep if they’re happy with the thickness or more accurately the thinness of your lining it will be all systems go don’t worry if they say you need a few more days on buserelin though I’ve heard that’s common x
