Here comes round four 🤦‍♀️

Hi everyone,

I hope your all well I haven’t been on here for a while as took time away to be us.

After enjoying time just us two and our baby 🐶 as we call him it’s time to get round four started.

We needed time to work out where to go after cycle three failed that clinic told us to use embryo donor but no reason to why. Therefore as we would be paying privately we looked round other clinics but the confusion increased one saying sperm donor and the other egg donor.

Putting all of that aside here we are about to commence round four we have paid for a multi cycle if they fail we will move to egg donor.

I am so scared to start again but got to keep pushing on for our dream. Anyone else just about to start a cycle?

Sorry for the long post 😘 xx

I’m not about to start a cycle, but your post sounds very similar to our situation. We are currently taking a break before our 4th and final round with my own eggs before probably trying DE. Glad that you enjoyed your break together and that you are ready to go again. Wishing you lots of luck with this cycle and really hoping this is the one! xx

Hi Katrina,

It sounds like we’re in a very similar situation. We’ve taken about a year away from treatment following two failed cycles of ICSI. We moved and renovated a house then spent some time just getting ourselves together but are now about to go for our third fresh round.

I’m starting Buserelin on Friday 15th so just waiting for the arrival of our drugs then we’re back on the rollercoaster! Do you have your treatment schedule yet?

Fingers crossed the break has done us good and it’s going be time for both of us.

I’d love to keep in touch

Hi Sarah,

It’s does sound like we are in a similar situation.hope you have enjoyed your break too.

I haven’t got a treatment plan yet have to start taking the pill on day 1 of my cycle so any day now and then the clinic will give me my treatment dates etc.

I have everything crossed it is is our times too.

I would love to stay in touch 😊.

Hi Katrina, your story sounds really similar to ours. After our 3rd failed ICSI round we were advised to use DE. However we had 1 cycle left on our Access Fertility plan so had to go through with that in order to get a refund to then pay for our DE treatment. Fast forward 10 months and I am currently trying to wind my 4 week old baby girl. We didn't need DE at all - just got 1 beautiful embryo (the first one out of all 4 cycles!!!) Whilst I had come to terms with using DE I am so glad that we managed to get our own wee baby using my crappy eggs!!

Good luck to you for round 4 x

Not great. We’re at similar stage but have decided to give IUI a try. Not sure why other than I currently can’t face the idea of round 4. Definitely brave decision you’ve made. Would you mind pm’ing me details of the clinic you’ve gone with. I’m open to new ideas! Xxx

Hey, I've started injections for our second round today after our first FET failed in November. We have 1 frozen embryo but as I"m 42 in March was keen to do another egg collection before we do a FET. This time we'll be doing ICSI as my husband was diagnosed with lung cancer in November so we're using frozen sperm. We're doing a mild cycle so should have our egg collection next Friday 15th, all being well. Wishing you all the best for your cycle xx

Wanted to wish you all the best Katrina. I'm really glad you are back and ready for another go! Don't give up on that dream xxx
