Happy New Year to you all and hope 2019 brings lots of luck and baby dust. I've not been on here much following my miscarriage after IVF last year which, like everyone else sadly going or gone through the same it hits you hard. Full admiration for those who go through IVF time after time, I decided after last year which was my 3rd miscarriage I couldn't go through it again. After several tests whereby I was told nothing was wrong, just bad luck and told my only chance of being a mum was through doner eggs and going abroad, I came to terms with the fact that I'll never be a mum and moved on with things. Fast forward to October 2018 and I find at the age of 42 I'm pregnant naturally (I'll be 43 when baby born).
15 weeks now and the NHS are being really good and keeping a close eye on things. I had HCG injections for the first 12 weeks and then been recommended low dose aspirin from 12 weeks onwards. Whether these 2 things have made a difference who knows but so far so good.
Just wanted to share my story and hopefully give others hope. I know I'm one of the very few lucky ones but it just proves that miracles do happen and never lose the faith.
Best wishes to you all, Louise xx

This is just incredible. Truly a miracle. I am glad that things worked out for you. I guess its all about being positive and being hopeful. We have opted for IVF as well. I am really hoping that it works for us. We are actually going abroad for the process. So I am nervous but excited at the same time.
Really makes you think when people tell you to "just relax and you'll get pregnantt" that they might be onto something 🤣
I've heard so many miracle stories like this. So happy for you XXX
I had heard of HCG injections previously but not for a while- who recommended it to you? Was it your doctor or did you ask for it? Did they say why they had decided to give it to you?
We just went through a miscarriage but I do have hromonal issues and wonder if HCG injections mgiht be the way to go x
Aw, thank you. So sorry to hear of your miscarriage. There just are no words. As I've had 3 consecutive miscarriages, the consultant recommended HCG injections. There's very little info on Google but I just put trust in them and went along with their advice. I agree, for me at least it really was "relax and it'll happen". You just don't believe it at the time, not when you want something so much. Good luck to you and hope next time will be your time xx
Congratulations lovely that is fantastic news. Thank you for sharing your miracle and giving us hope. Wishing you all the best with your pregnancy and birth of your baby xx
