Transfer month

Hello everyone!

Well I’m cycle day 4 and finally things look ok thyroid wise to do a natural FET this month! Transfer day looks to be the 10th December. Got my first scan on Friday for day 7.

Just a TMI question though - this period has been really light! I haven’t actually filled a tampon and barely mark a pad overnight, so I’m worried it’s going to be a crappy lining, does anyone know if this is a thing?

I cant say for sure but I dont have heavy periods and usually have lining issues. However this is a new cycle and if its not normally like that and its a one off then try not to worry too much as you'll be creating a new lining so hopefully be back to normal if your thyroid has settled down! I guess your clinic could always add in progynova to assist your lining if its struggling?! Good luck!xx

I have the same problem. Just finished a freeze-all cycle and planning to have a FET on Dec 17th, and my cycle was very light (CD4 today and already over). I asked the midwife, who confirmed this is normal, due to the hormonal treatment I just finished (and that will affect me for a few cycles). Not sure if this applies to you, but perhaps worth asking to your clinic?

I haven’t had any treatment/hormones/meds at all since July. I do get the odd light one from time to time, but this is the lightest, was just worried in case it means a less than ideal lining for transfer if i haven’t had a good bleed!xx

I would just call the clinic and get some reassurance. They may also top up the medications?

Hi there I've just had my first scan today to see if my lining is thin enough to start my cycle 3. I was told it had to be 4 (I assume mm) or below if not I couldn't start the cycle. Luckily mine was 3.4. I had been worrying as my actual period wasn't due to start until today, but on the 7th Nov my clinic put me on the pill until 22nd Nov and I started my period on 24th Nov. So I think I've been very lucky to get it all to time right and for the lining to shed in time. I start injecting tonight. EC is booked for the 10th Dec. So I think you are a few days ahead of me. Hoping all goes well at your scan on Friday xx

Hi, Just wanted to wish you the best of luck for 10th. Will you have another scan before you transfer? If so they will make you up your meds if it isn’t thick enough. I have heard Brazil nuts and pomegranate juice is good for the lining as well as vitamin E! X

Yes they will scan me! It’s a natural FET so no meds before transfer but thank you I’ll get the Brazil nuts and Pom juice in too!xx

Hey Orla, great to hear things are moving in the right direction for you. Perhaps speak to the clinic and let them know of your concerns. As Cinderella has said, they might prescribe you something to help your lining along xx

Totally feeling negative about this transfer as all 3 embryos are very poor. But sticking them all in if they survive thaw and see what happens!xx
