I’m new to this forum and have been ttc for 4 years. We had self funded ICSI earlier this year which was unsuccessful. In the end we only had one poorly developed embryo which was inserted but did not take. Afterwards I didn’t feel myself at all and on reflection think I was mildly depressed for some time. We’ve now been lucky enough to reach the top of the waiting list for NHS treatment. I’m excited but also really scared a I feel like I’ve only just got back to feeling like myself again after the last cycle. Anyway just trying to stay positive and take it as it comes - it’s good to find a community where everyone can speak about their experience.
Hi there and welcome! Im sorry about your first cycle not working. Have you been able to come up with a different treatment plan for your next cycle? Or are you waiting for your initial consultation? Im due to start my third cycle next week 🤞🏼IVF is definitely hard going on mental health. I hadn't realised until recently but as with you, I think I had been mildly depressed but luckily have found myself again. Just take it a day at a time, every day is different but hopefully you can remain positive going through your next cycle. Wishing you lots of luck xx
Thank you and wishing you lots of luck too - I have my fingers crossed for both of us. We have our initial consultation on Monday. They have our notes from the last cycle so I’m hoping that will help them make some changes xx

Good luck for round two! I also had a failed IcSI a few months ago and am on day 6 of stims of round two. Are you changing anything? We switched from long to short - I had similar issues only 2 poor quality embryos both transferred in day 2. Masses of luck xx

I’m sorry to hear how you are feeling. It’s such a tough journey and completely takes over your life. The cold dark weather also doesn’t help! It will all be ok, just focus on the next time and look into things such as fertility yoga, acupuncture etc. That’s what I’m doing for now anyway 😘
