Decisions, decisions 🤔

So, after an agonising couple of days waiting for the day five update the embryologist phoned today to say two of our seven fertilised embryos have been good enough to freeze and they’re going to leave another two over night and see if they can freeze both of them too. So far so good I think?! Bless the little embryos though, I’ve been moaning about being cold all day and I’m not living my life in a freezer. If we’re successful this time round our child can have the heating on whenever it wants ❄️

We also need to decide whether to go with a natural or medicated cycle when it comes to transfer. I think we’re leaning towards natural as my periods are quite regular and it would be lovely not to have to have too much medication (I know I’d still have to have the pessaries but who doesn’t love waking up early to stick something up your bum eh?!) but just wondering if anyone has any advice on what we should go for?

Sending lots of love and positivity to you all 😊💕

That great number 👍 I got one frozen one from my last cycle and my period is every 28 days ...but like I say to doctor ...nature can be tricky sometimes...so we need to help her sometimes ☺️☺️xx

That's great you have two and possibly a couple more frosties! I'm in the same position hoping to get our first frozen transfer in before Christmas. We just met with the nurse on Friday and she recommended a natural cycle as my periods are also regular. I expected we'd also need to do pessaries, but she said not unless I insisted. I did not insist because Progesterone makes me lethargic and low mood. However, I'm a little nervous about my body making enough Progesterone on its own. I see an endocrinologist to manage my thyroid and I'm thinking of asking if they can test my Progesterone during the cycle to see if it's high enough and if it isn't, I can start pessaries. Of course it might be too late by then.

Good luck making your decision. I'm interested to see what others have to say. Xx

Thank you 😊 Yeah, it would be lovely to have a break from all the medication but it makes me nervous too!

Thank you! Good luck to you too 😊💕 xxx

I had a successful pregnancy on a natural but not on a medicated so I'd always away towards that. Less stress! Good luck!

Congratulations on your successful pregnancy! Yeah, from what I’ve read a lot of people seem to be in favour of natural, I just can’t decide!xxx

If you ovulate on a fairly regular basis then I’d definitely recommend doing a natural fet. Down regulation for a medicated fet can be hard going with the side effects from the drugs. Good luck xx

Yeah, after the overstimulation this time I’m keen to not take any medication if I can help it 😕 How are you doing?xxx
