Hi everyone! It has been a while since I been here. My last IVF was a success and I welcomed my baby girl end of July. A year ago to the date (15/11/17) I was doing my egg collection... anyways, for the first time during my IVF journey we had embryos to freeze and a few weeks back the clinic called to ask what we wanted to do with them. Due to the age they were made (I was almost 39), they cannot be donated do the options are keep them frozen, donate for training, use them or get them destroyed. After a long discussion with my better half, we both agree that the only option for us,that we can live with is to use them and if they do not survive at least we gave them a chance so... as I sit here drinking my much welcomed coffee, am also awaiting the period do we can do our first FET. Due to my age (40 in 2 weeks),we could not really wait so....here we go ... wish me luck π€π€π€

All the best of luck!!
Wishing you luck. Its actually much better doing an FET as you dont have egg collection to contend with so that is defo a bonus! Keep us posted with your progress!xx
All the very best of luck to you and your embies ππ xx (and sorry to ask, out of interest would you mind telling me what the age limit is for donating embryos?)
Oh I love that little quotation, very appropriate βΊοΈ Congratulations on the birth of your little girl and wishing you lots and lots of luck for your FET xx
If it does not work, at least there were not βdestroyedβ... looking at my little one now, I cannot help but think that they could be one of her and destroying them just feel so wrong!
I completely get that. Wishing you the very best with it all xx
I had my first FET aged 39 and 8 months (and my embryos werenβt as young as yours) and Iβm now a 40 year old expectant mum so it can work. Donβt get too hung up on your age xx
