Hello guys its the hubby, my wife is currently 8dp5dt and she has had her implantation spotting which was normal a couple of days ago I think on 6dp and she has had her BFP which is fantastic however today she had spotting again but time it was red when she checked. She is currently worried atm. Her OTD is 9th November.
Is this normal, she checked again and there was no spotting or red. Hopefully everything is okay. Any advice would be good

Hello. It's such a worrying time but there is a lot going on down there. The best thing to do for reassurance is to call your clinic. They may advise to up / change pessaries or move to back passage as they can irritate the cervix and cause slight bleeds.
Usually we are told not to worry unless we have pain, there is enough blood to fill a pad in an hour or if it continues for more than a couple of days.
But definitely call the clinic as they know your case inside out, and they are the medical professionals.
Also, be there for your wife and be patient. Her hormones are all over the place and she will be in a huge panic. Give her a cuddle, make a cup of tea and have her put her feet up and relax.
Sounds like you would be doing that anyway as you have posted on here 😉
Congratulations and here's to another 36 weeks of worry and stress! Xx
Hello there, thank you for your message, hopefully its nothing serious and just implantation spotting. Yes you are right she is resting with her feet up ive also emailed our fertility clinic and see what they say. So far she is in good spirits and hasnt had any more spotting. Thank you soo much let the long 9 month journey begin
I am glad you are so strong with each other. Good luck and enjoy some quality time with each other. This is a special time when you both know you are PUPO and are visualising your little one snuggling in for the journey to your arms xx
There are lots of ladies experience spotting early on only to go on and have healthy pregnancies. I spotted on and off to 7 weeks and it is really worrying. For me, at my viability scan they found a small clot which they think caused it. They said it might have been a bit of the placenta breaking away. Other ladies never get an answer for their bleeding. Clinics tend to say that if you need a liner which gets filled quickly or it’s accompanied by severe cramps then you need to get checked out. I’m guessing you haven’t phoned your clinic to tell them about your BFP with it being before OTD so when you do I’d mention the spotting and see what they say. Hope everything is ok for you guys.
Hi, I experienced similar I had bright red blood bleeding and terrible cramps so bad I needed painkillers. I thought it was all over and that I was miscarrying but thankfully I wasn’t. The bleeding stopped within two days and the cramping a few weeks later. I now have a 16 week old son. I read a lot of comments on google when I started bleeding and all of them seemed to say red blood and cramping is a bad sign. So I’m here to say it’s always best to get checked out cause it wasn’t a bad sign for me. Hope all goes well with the pregnancy for you and your wife. 😁
I agree with Camillage, my midwife told me unless it’s heavy gushing blood like filling a pad every hour or so & your wife is doubled over with abdominal pain try not to worry too much (easier said than done) I’ve had lots of various spotting during my pregnancy & my baby is fine! I’m 10 & half weeks. Make sure she rests up like bed rest until the spotting discontinues. It’s probably where baby is implanting. All the best lots of women spot during pregnancy & are fine xoxo 😘
