Egg Collection done in Cyprus..

Just had my egg collection as anticipated I had 1 egg! and my donor has 12. So 13 eggs altogether. They will message me on Wednesday with fertilisation numbers. Praying though that they find sperm as my partner is currently having his tese op xx

Thanks lovelies. Tese didnt go well unfortunately all poor quality sperm and only a bit of sperm too. We had 3 choices. First choice use partners sperm to fertilise all the eggs, second option use donor sperm on all eggs and third option use half partners sperm and half donors. We decided to use partners sperm on my 1 egg and donor sperm with the donor eggs. It was such a tough decision but we want to maximise our chances xx

Thankyou im worried whether we have made the right decision using donor sperm for all but my one egg. Wondering whether we should have gone half and half but i suppose we would have been risking it and weve got to let them run till day 5 too xx

You made the decision you did at the time for many reasons, some of which you won't remember. But please don't worry about something that has already happened. I would probably have made the exact same decision as you. And one day when you are hugging your wee baby none of that will matter. Fingers crossed for the next 5 days xxx

Thanks Camillage i really appreciate it. Its such a gamble. We thought about our previous cycles too. First round only 1 of 5 eggs fertilised and 2nd round only 2 of 6 fertilised. It will be amazing if my 1 egg works with partners one sperm and makes it, but we know the odds are stacked against us. Xx
