I’m off to my clinic today for my CD7 scan to hopefully get ready to have my last blasts transferred in about 10 days.

I’m going to state my case for wanting all 3 transferred, so that’s what I need the luck for! I’ve done lots of research and found papers that found that pregnancy rates were not much different for transfers of 2 or 3 “good” embryos, but when using “poor” embryos the rate was much increased between transferring 3 embryos rather than 2.

I also got a second opinion from a embryology lab director who said looking at my gradings he would recommend all 3! So just my clinic who don’t want to risk more than two...

Hi Orla9298. I don't know at what stage your little embryos were frozen, but year ago we used transfer

2-3 Day 3 embryos all the time. Very occasionally we go triplets, but more often than not it was a singleton, sometimes twins. Have a good chat with your embryologist and go with his/her recommendations, as he/she wants you to be successful too. Good luck! Diane

Thanks Diane, they are all blasts but poor quality. They agreed the three, but I can’t transfer due to my thyroid being out 😢 xx

Hi Orla9298. So sorry to hear about your thyroid, but they’re wanting to give you your best shot, so will want to sort it out first. Fortunately it can be, it’s just so upsetting having to wait again. Thinking of you and hope all is soon good to go again. Diane

Well I got my wish of the three... (providing they survive the thaw, who knows!) but I’m not able to transfer due to my stupid thyroid! My TSH is too low and it’s messing my cycle making me ovulate early... cycle day 7 and I have a monster ready to pop almost, and last month I ovulated on day 8! Have to reduce my levo dose and wait for a more normal cycle 😭 it’s for the best but I was SO upset.

Oh no Orla! How frustrating, I know how it felt when my TSH was too damn high. Hopefully it won't take too long to sort out!😚 However very well done on getting the clinic to agree to your request!!👏 Hang on in there!!xxx

Oh jeez! So sorry you're having to wait. Can't imagine how frustrating and upsetting that must be. Well done though for successfully stating your case and as Diane said, waiting for everything to be just right will give the little embies every chance. Xxx
