Hey
Bit of a strange question - maybe. Guess nothing is strange here. But has anyone any experience of collagen helping with fertility? If so, in what way?
Thanks xx

Never heard of a connection.. Have you read something somewhere? xx
One or two but there isn't much noise about it. There was one (which I can't find any more) but most of the articles I have seen today have been about avoiding stretch marks during pregnancy - not a stage I am at yet by a good few months.
Usually I am a "no harm in trying" kind of person but I am concerned about taking too many supplements, and of those that I do when to stop.
May give it a go as I think there was something about helping the lining. But I think I will probably stop everything besides vit c,d and cod liver oil, and women's formula thingy with folic acid after transfer.
It's all so confusing. 🤔
Hi Camillage, although I have read a lot about collagen, I haven’t found any specific information about its link with fertility. It is definitely recommended for those with autoimmune issues as it helps to repair leaky gut etc. I personally don’t have an autoimmune immune illness but have been taking it for a while and it worked wonders on my skin. I make sure to always buy organic, grass-fed reputable product. As it is an easily absorbed protein I would be inclined to think that it should improve egg quality and therefore increase fertility. I will continue taking it throughout my cycle. A good source of collagen is bone broth made from organic chicken and veg. I make it sometimes too. X
Yes, I just read an article which talked about bone broth being a good source of collagen. I do make that. I always try my best to get organic free range everything too. X
