Nervous and excited

So in 2 weeks time we go for our council session to talk about using a donor sample.

Once this is complete we are ready to start of IVF process.

When we found out my partner had Klinefelter syndrome we were so upset. Not being able use his sperm and have our own baby has been the most upsetting time of our lives. But over the past year we have come to terms with everything and helped each other through this dark and difficult time.

So I’ve lost 2 and a half stone to get my bmi under 30. This has been extremely hard especially as my partner is addicted to crisps and chocolate. I make him sit in another room which doesn’t really help as I know where he is disappearing to haha

I do feel really good for it as well so it’s been a kick up the bum!

So as part of our journey so far, we have chosen a donor sample. Carefully selecting features that match my partner. We have decided to pay for two lots so if our 1st IVF doesn’t work we can try again.

I am booked in for my scan and blood test in 2 weeks then I can start the IVF process. I am so nervous. I am quite scared of going under anaesthetic to have my eggs removed but I know it will be worth it.

Fingers crossed it works as I know the chances are 50%. Right now I’m trying to stay very positive.

It’s nice to come on here and write a post. It helps me stay positive and connect to others going through the same.

Love to all, stay positive xxx

My husband has it too, We knew nothing about it, and have done some research on it since. We are just waiting to pick our donor sample, but there has been a slight delay , so that’s frustrating! Well done you on losing all that, you must be so chuffed! This forum is amazing and so supportive! Wishing you all the very best, please keep us posted! 💕xx

Oh no sorry to hear about your husband. Yes we researched it too.

Oh no sorry to hear about the delay. We have had to wait for the donor to become available. Should be ready next week and shipped ready for our treatment.

Thank you! I have found it hard but it’s been so worth it.

Wishing you all the best and I will keep updating. 💕 xx

Sounds like things are going in the right direction.

Well done on your weight loss, I know how hard it is as I had to lose weight too.

You'll be fine at egg collection and hopefully won't feel a thing.

Good luck for when you start

Xx
