Havent been on here in a few years . My wife and i went through 3 years of icsi and 3 cycles at same hospital. Started of good , nice palce , nice staff and we unfortunately had chemical on our 1st attempt, 2nd was bfn but it was our 3rd attempt that pissed us off . Paid for cycle but the niceties weren't there this time and didn't feel same place . Anyway we got positive and then the bleeding started so my wife phoned to ask if she could get more progesterone as she read this could reduce or stop the bleeding only to be told no , no point in trying to save something that's not there . Raging , I emailed every director and bigwig I could belonging to the place but not 1 reply. Cutting a long story short we moved to new hospital , got 8 for freezing on 1st cycle ( we had nothing from 3 cycles at other place ) and were fortunate to get our little miracle daughter in July . Don't keep piling money into the same place folks , change places , we noticed some things were same during the cycle at new hospital but a lot of things were well different and far better .
Good luck folks that are still trying . I hope you's all get your dream

Thanks for this inspiration.. I did the same 3 cycles at the one hospital - last one paid but awful customer care.. not much monitoring- no one ever answers phone..they didnt change much each cycle ..all cycles failed with none to freeze- I wish I hadn’t paid and stayed there.. but you think better the devil you know! I got my medical notes but have been sitting on it for 18months and am questioning whether it’s worth trying a different clinic! Your story has inspired me. Thank you and good luck x
We were at a hospital that only deals in fertility . We moved a cpl miles to a hospital that is basically a hospital with a fertility dept . They couldn't believe with the amount of eggs collected in 3 cycles how we never had anything for freezing . Their procedure was nearly same but something were different and they looked through our notes first and then gave us different things to try . I think the big difference was after egg collection . We had 8 to freeze and we didn't do the transfer ( other hospital done transfer not long after collection) . We waited a short while until all medication was out of system then done transfer . Some ppl don't like change ,but best thing we ever done.
Can I just note that when we had 8 to freeze we postponed transfer for a few weeks as it would be better to get all meds out of the system . And when we got positive we started with baby aspirin
Thanks for the advice. Do you mind if I ask if you live in the UK? I know that there are people on the forums from all over the world and wondered how the experience differed.
Thanks, my only experience is being an NHS patient and so there wasn't much choice this time round but it's definitely worth thinking about for the future. Congratulations on the birth of your daughter x

So good to hear your story - nice to hear a husband's perspective! We're about to start ICSI (first ever attempt, so bit nerve wracking!). Congratulations on the arrival of your daughter, and hope you are enjoying being a daddy! xxx
