Sounds like a silly question but I’m so confused with all the dates and changes the medication makes to your normal cycle.
I’m on the two week wait but I’ve heard people talking about when their period would have been due?
How do you know this?

On the long protocol, my period has always been on the last day of the 2ww or the day after. Which is very cruel! But hopefully you won’t get a period and a BFP instead 🤞🏻 good luck x
Yep I assumed that was the case I’m on the long protocol too
Maybe it’s different on the short one and that’s where I’ve got confused by people’s comments...
My period came 13 days after EC, so 1 day before test day. Good luck xx
If you’re on a long protocol, you don’t have a period- either a withdrawal bleed when you come off the meds or the lining shedding if implantation is unsuccessful. You can’t apply your usual timings when you’re on the meds. Everyone has different test days as well and length of stimulation too. I don’t have any experience with a short protocol.
Fingers crossed for you!! Xx
Thanks I think I knew all of that but I think the combination of reading other people’s posts and the whole two week wait got me completely confused.
Thanks for huge clarification.
I think a lot of people go by when their period would have been due on a normal cycle. But the reality is that the meds override your cycle and you no longer have a normal due date. Personally, mine has always arrived a couple of days after coming off the meds but I’ve read posts from other ladies taking much longer to bleed. I also know some ladies bleed whilst still in the 2ww and this can potentially be a sign that their body isn’t absorbing the progesterone as much as it should be as in theory the progesterone should stop your period from happening. Good luck with your 2ww. Hope you get your BFP.
I always think people are confused when they talk about when their period would be due as their cycle has been over ridden by the meds. However it has occurred to me that maybe people on the short protocol rather than the long protocol are just going by their usual cycle as they only take stims drugs not the buserelin which overrides the normal cycle on long protocol. But either way, the progesterone pessaries stop a lot of people having a bleed during the 2ww even if they’re not pregnant so it’s not a reliable indicator of pregnancy that your period hasn’t come unfortunately.
Best of luck for the rest of your 2ww- babydust to you xx
