BUSERELIN and low mood

Feeling anxious about to do my first BUSERELIN injection this evening. Nurse said I might experience low mood with this hormone and I’m already nervous and anxious as it is! Did anyone find low mood with BUSERELIN and any tips or advice that can help? Thank you!

No low moods for me when I did it but I did get very bad headaches about a week in xx

I don’t remember feeling particularly low but I did feel tired and had bad headaches. These did go away though once I started the stimulation medication. Best of luck for your cycle xx

I’ve been on Buserelin for 9days now and not had any low moods just had headaches and been tired (just had a 2hr power nap) Try and not worry about the injection it won’t be as bad as you think! Good luck xx

I was fine up until day 11 and then I started having a wobble. But it was only few days here and there and otherwise I wasn’t too bad.

I’m doing a medicated FET (ET on wed) so was down regging for over 4 weeks and your body sort of gets used to it.

I’ve been using the ‘IVF mindfulness’ app which has really helped with my stress levels so I’d defo recommend that.

Hi Jenadrian79. It contains a hormone that works on the pituitary gland in the brain, so you can be prone to mood swings and headaches during the course of treatment. Most people get minimal reactions, so fingers crossed you will be one of them. Hope all goes well with your treatment cycle. Diane

I got the headache symptoms as mentioned by other ladies, but my mood was ok. Good luck to you for your cycle xx
