I’m 30 and had our first cycle of ivf aboard last November (2017). Sadly it failed. I put everything into that try and I almost had a breakdown when it didn’t work.
My reason for infertility is blocked Fallopian tubes, high bmi (39) and male factor (sperm volume is poor).
Me and my husband are both working on reducing our weight, but I’m curious if there are other people out there in the same situation? And have anyone had any luck with ivf with the same issues ?

I'm afraid I can't relate to your situation but didn't want to not reply to you. Ivf is so so hard to go through and I just wanted to wish you lots of luck with your journey. We are all much stronger than we give ourselves credit for. You've got this. x 👍
Hi I’ve just read your recent post about my bmi being high.
My bmi was classed as overweight and I had to lose some weight before I started my ivf and the only way I managed to get through it was reminding my self that my end goal would hopefully be a baby 🍼it seemed to work as I lost weight 😬 I found writing a food diary helps as you
can see what your actually having and
if you do have a bad day just don’t beat yourself up and try again the next day also if your hubby doing the diet with you it helps a lot.
I also had blocked tubes so I had to have an operation to try and clear them it didn’t happen so i had them tied or removed can’t remember which one they said 🤦🏼♀️ but there no good anyway and also I had an ovary taken away
My hubby sperm wasn’t the greatest when he first tested but he took vitamins and they seemed to do the trick also dieting with me and when they retested the sperm it had gone up considerably and had “great” sperm they said
So your story is very similar to mine so I thought I would try give you some hope ☺️our first ivf round ended in a cp and then our first round of fet ended in bfp and am currently 24 weeks pregnant 🤰
Wishing you lots of baby dust for your next round and if you want to chat my inbox is always open ☺️ xx
