This may sound silly, but I am new to this, can I take an at home ovulation test even though my cycle has stopped?

Ovulation test
What do you mean your cycle has stopped?x
Hello AJJ123. Thank you for your reply.
I have stopped menstruating after receiveing chemotherapy. I am 7 months out of treatment and all clear. I took zoladex to preserve my ovaries during treatment. Since completing treatment my period hasn't returned.
Hi Asoosa2877. Usually, no period, no ovulation. You may have to wait many more months for any fertility to return after chemotherapy. Have a chat with your oncologist or GP and see whether you can have a hormone check to see how you are progressing. Good luck! Diane
Thank you Diane. I appreciate your response. I am actually looking into eggdonation. My sisters, who are younger and healthier than I have offered their eggs to me so that, if possible, I can have a baby. I will probably have to go abroad as Norwegian laws are very stickt when it comes to IVF in general.
I will have to look into spermdonation as well as I am not currently with a partner. 🤷🏻♀️
Hi Asoosa2877. Just wanted to wish you every success with this, and so pleased that your sisters are willing to help you. Thinking of you. Diane
Thank you so much Diane. I just got off the phone with my gynecologist and she told me that having donor embryos is definately an option for me as long as I am cleared by my oncologist. So I think my journey will begin in the next couple of months.i am so grateful for finding this community. I feel so alone and it seems that everyone around me are popping out babies left and right around me with and without IVF. I work in an office of 10 people and in the last 3 years there have been 4 births and 2 due in the next few weeks. 3 with IVF.
Hi Asoosa2877. I’ve had many single ladies using donor, embryos, eggs and sperm, depending on their circumstances. Lots have been successful and I really hope that you will be too. Can’t do much about all the other babies and pregnancies, they’re always going to be there. You’ve been offered a wonderful opportunity, so as soon as you are able, then go for it. See if you can talk over everything with a counsellor at some stage beforehand, and I know you will continue to have support from the ladies here. Diane
