Hi ladies,

I have few questions! Does anyone knows:

- what’s the best app to track your period/ ovulation?

- what’s is the best ovulation test strips?

- Also anyone heard or used AVA bracelet?

Thanks and hope you all are ok xx

Hi Anna I think the Flo app is very good. I've only ever used cheap ebay strips which I couldn't ever get a reading from and also the clear blue digital ovulation tests which are expensive and I found over time seemed to work less well. I would suggest trying the cheap ones first but buy enough for a month or two and track for at least 10 days each month when you might be ovulating xx

Thanks Lillie. One of my friend told me clear blue is not really good ,they just expensive and do the same as cheap one. I’ll go for cheap one first as you said. Thanks and hope you’re ok xx

Anna00 you ask the best questions! Yesterday I went out and bought a pack of 7 Sainsbury’s Healthcare ovulation tests. I’m not sure when and if I’m meant to ovulate as I had a chemical pregnancy, so not sure when my period starts from. I gave one a go yesterday regardless & it was straight forward enough with a clear result. Only thing is that the best results you wait until after lunchtime and have to hold your wee for 4 hours!!! 4! I was busting at the end of it 😂 Let me know what you find out, as it would be so wonderful to sneak in a natural BFP before my next round x

Sure I’ll let you know lovely! I never used the app so searching for the best one. Why 4hours?! I’m gonna die or get the kidney stone😂 why after lunchtime? Morning should be easier as you wake up and haven’t your wee for few hours! I’m gonna try in naturally before go for next round as mentally and physically I can’t go for another cycle now xx

Hi Anna. I've always used Fertility Friend app and then taken basal body temperatures on each cycle day. The app then calculates ov day once it detects your temperature surge. You can also record other signs eg ewcm or ov test results. I used it with the clearblue dual ov tests and found they coincided so eventually gave up on the ov sticks and went by what Ff said as the tests are expensive and my cycle was regular . I also like the ability to overlay previous months charts to detect patterns, as I'm abut of a geek about that sort of thing. you can get a free trial.

Thanks Caroliono4. It’s the first time I decided to use the app, lots of people suggest fertility friend! My period is regular and I kinda know when I ovulate but need to make sure xx

I second Fertility Friend. Also pay for the upgraded version not just the free one.. it’s more detailed and specific. As for ovulation tests I used to use internet cheapies but I’ve switched to clearblue digital now. Just test until you get a smiley solid face. No flashing faces, just a solid smiley face. Get yourself a basal base thermometer and test your temperature at the same time every morning before you get up and after at least four hours rest xx

Thanks lovely,very useful info x

Is it important to test my temperature? Got my ovulation strips from the boots but if clear blue is better I’ll get that. xx

It is the only thing that will confirm ovulation so yeah I definitely recommend temping xx

Ps clearblue will just take the guesswork out of whether a test is 100% positive or not. Don’t get the ones that flash. Just get the clearblue digital ones. When they’re negative it’s just a solid empty circle ⭕️ and when it’s positive it’s a solid smiley face 🙂 xx

Hi anna. I use Ovia Fertility app and really like it. Helps u keep track of symptoms etc. Ive heard of the Ava bracelet and had considered it, its expensive for what it is but not compared to IVF lol. Id be interested to hear if anyone else has tried it! Ive used clear blue and tesco ovulatiom strips, didnt find either great to be honest. Xx
