I had my egg collection today. 20 eggs collected but when my husband did his semen sample and they looked at it under the microscope he was just on the threshold for needing ISCI, so after a long discussion with the embryologist we decided to 50% IVF and 50% ISCI, has anyone else had to do this?
I must say the procedure was a lot more painful that I thought despite the sedation and propafol, plus they had to push down the belly to get the high up eggs!
Anyway home now chilling with a nice sticky bun as a reward!
Had my phone call from the embryologist this morning.
Out of the 10 that were ISCI we had 5 fertilise and out of the 10 that were ivf we have 3 fertilised so 8 in total, which I believe is good, we just need them to keep on growing and for one to settle happily in my belly!
