Very first egg collection today!

So I've just had my egg collection. Trigger injection made my womb feel like it was bursting! I had 3 follicles and out of that 2 good eggs. It feels like a low jumper but doctors were positive and womb liking looks good. It's a waiting game now to see if they fertilise and how well they grow. Anyone had any luck with 2 eggs?

Good luck. I had only 3 eggs per collection and I was successful, it’s quality over quantity x

Hey, I'm currently incubating and growing 2 follicles which we hope are carry 2 golden eggs (I'm 46). Got my next scan this Friday. I've been on supplements for over a year now So really hoping and praying it is quality over quantity.

Best of luck 🤗

that’s amazing .

What protocol where you on ?

I had 3 follicles last time but they had to cancel my cycle as they didn’t grow .

You only need 1 egg , wishing you all the luck .

Hi JadeSorry to hear they cancelled your cycle. Its always a bit if a hut and miss game but I'm praying you'll have three of more healthy follicles that make it to maturity. And you're right; it only takes 1 good egg.

I'm not sure what you mean by protocol?

thank you lovely .

I mean long or short protocol ?

Mild or natural there’s quite a few .

Still not familiar with that terminlogy but in short I've had 6 days of fostimon 6 days of merifort and blocker then trigger injection day 12 and egg collection day 14 then ideally transfer 3-5 days then it's the wait... but I had natural fertilisation rather than injected in. Hope that makes sense x

I’m quite new to it all , I had the long protocol where they switch off your hormones before hand , this time they are going to do short.

I don’t know what the difference is or why it’s chosen .

Thank you for explaining what you hadxx

Awww I've just looked up the difference. They put me on short protocol. Start injections on day 1 of cycle and do so for 12 days. Drugs help with maturation of follicles and focus on healthy growth rather than quantity and then blocker to stop LH surge and ovulation. I think that was perfect for me as I think I've been surging early as sometimes I had to double block to give time for eggs to really grow. I def prefer this method. 4-6 weeks feels full on and although this has been intense it doesn't feel like any time has gone at all. Before I knew it, it was time for egg collection and phase 1 is complete. I'm wishing you the very best of luck for your short protocol. I'll be interested to know how you find it. I think it will be less stressful whilst also giving your body time to really incubate those eggs and follicles. Much love x x

thank you sorry for not really explaining well enough.

Yes it shouldn’t be a long as down regulation and hopefully will be more success for me, as it wasn’t looking great .

I wish us both good luck and hope miracles happen for us cx

Hey no need to apologise. I just didn’t know so you've taught me something thank you. They must've just put me on it as each program is tailor made. I didn't even know there were others lol. Now researching I can see they made the right choice.Sending Love. We've got this 💪🏾😘

🌟Update🌟 They are two grade A eggs and dividing nicely. Fingers crossed for blastocyst and successful implantation. Transfer on Monday if all is well. Had acupuncture today and hope it will help.
