Ladies ,

Hope all doing good, I am on 37 week and 2 days and baby is on transverse position. Will the position change ??? The pain and movements are so intense . I thought the movements will be less in final weeks but still I get intense kicks and painful movements. I am in India and I think they would go for c section . Advice please ...

Hi luv2017. First of all, baby is quite happy, so try not to worry too much. It’s a bit late in pregnancy for baby to turn head down on his/her own, so doctor might offer to try and turn baby externally, but this is not always successful, so you will probably have a C-section. I’m sure all will end well, but might not be a vaginal birth. Thinking of you and good luck! Diane

Thanks for that . As long as Baby is fine I am ok with c section . Water level was little bit high it seems and that’s why the baby is in transverse. Hope all turns out well .

Hi. That explains it then. Extra water allows for more movement. Probably be an Olympic swimmer! I’m sure all will be ok. Good luck! Diane xx

Hi, my eldest was transverse until 39 weeks. Tried manual turning. Didn’t work. Tried the old wives tales, then he just did a big turn and engaged. It still

Ended up in c section for me when he got stuck and he was a whopper. If the baby turns in time there’s no reason you can’t go for a vaginal birth, but I guess it depends how comfy he is right now 👍xx
