Hi Ladies after some advice for the build up to transfer and what’s good to eat, drink, I feel like I’ve been out the loop waiting for my AF and forgotten EVERYTHING since DR injection 🤦🏻‍♀️

Thanks ♥️

Hey, for the build up to transfer I drank pomegranate juice (well within a smoothie) to build up and maintain my lining. After ET pineapple for 5 days and a handful of Brazil nuts each day, you could also continue the pomegranate juice. I’ve heard McDonald’s chips are part of the ET day ritual but being coeliac I couldn’t tell you any further about that.

Wishing you lots of luck x

I did acupuncture, and listened to an IVF hypnosis CD xxx

I read that porridge, fruit, vegetables (esp broccoli), whole grains, chicken and two portions of fish a week are good for you. Essentially a balanced diet. Try to cut out sugar. It's hard. I cut out caffeine about a month before my transfer and alcohol some time before that. I also went to a Chinese doctor who gave me various tablets in the run up to the transfer but none in the days before it or immediately after it. She also gave me acupuncture and some little massages. If anyone is near Cambridge and would like her details, pm me. She is brilliant and I got a BFP (it is still early days for me though). I had been to another Chinese acupuncturist previously but didn't feel that he helped so find someone you trust if you can afford to do the Chinese medicine thing.

Good luck.

I’ve not had ceffeine for 7 months, I gave it up

In January. Alcohol intake is now zero. And I’ve upped my fruit and veg... also drinking at least 4 litres of water a day! I think it’s just important to do what you body needs... I am literally dying of a cold at the moment so don’t feel like doing much at all x

I agree with Hidden her article is very true. I think all of the recommendations (pineapple, Brazil nuts etc) are a bit of a fad and there is no evidence they work. I have never been told by any of my health professionals or complementary therapists to eat these foods for ivf. There are tonnes of other foods with the same nutrients and enzymes as these foods. I would say the basics are true; good nutrition, variety of fruit & veg, nuts, grains and seeds, cut out caffeine & alcohol and drink lots of water. It sounds like you are doing all of these things already, so just carry on with your good work. Good luck for your transfer xxx

That’s what I was thinking overall, I’ve just bought a caffeine free, shake loaded with vitamins and protein. I plan to have one a day with my pregnacare vitamins, plus a balanced diet. It’s so crazy that everything is down to luck! Xx
