After 3 failed cycles, I was lucky enough to be offered voluntary redundancy, so I took it without hesitation in December. Had my 4th cycle in March and am now 16 weeks. I now work part time, no responsibilities, and do some voluntary work. I was getting more sleep, had less stress, was getting outside more, and I also took DHEA to help egg quality. I also was tested and found to be Vitamin D deficient, so started supplements. My protocol was also changed from long to short and I had Clexane (blood thinner) to help implantation. Who knows which of the many changes made the difference. Yes we now have to manage on a budget and don't have spare cash, but I think the lack of stress and extra sleep made all the difference for egg quality and for implantation, but of which I had problems with before. I feel better and more healthy now than I have done for the last 4 years. I know that not everyone will be in this lucky position to make a career change, but any small steps to reduce stress have got to help x
I bought more organic food, stopped using products with phtalates, hubbie started condensyl supplements, switched all our plastic containers for glass or bpa free plastic. It made me feel like I was in control. But I think having a laparoscopy had more of an impact than any of those things- I got naturally pregnant twice in a year after minor endometrial ablation having never been pregnant before. Both miscarriages though. Also the clinic changed my protocol for next rounds of icsi and this got more eggs. Unfortunately it turned out that there’s an additional problem with hubbie so we ended up needing icsi with pgd. But, third time lucky and we are now 16 weeks pregnant.
