Thanks for all your kind messages after my earlier post. You guys are truly amazing.....
I spoke to the fertility clinic and the GP and they both said it looks like it is a positive....fertility clinic have already cancelled my frozen cycle due in a few weeks (which I didn't want them to do just in case). Doctor reluctantly sent me for blood tests which I just had....and have an early scan booked for 29th June - which should be 6 weeks....
Fingers crossed - but don't believe it!

Hey Guys,
Has anyone had a late period cycle directly after failed IVF and got a false positive?
My period is a few days late - which is to be expected I think after failed cycle so just did a test this morning as I found it in the drawer - a cheepy Sainsbury one....
Just not sure if hormones are back to normal etc....I showed ovulation on day 17 - but we only had sex a few times this month and weren't really trying as my OH was away and so was I....
I have a feeling my hormones are still up the creek....
Did you get a positive test? My AF was right on time after my failed ivf in April...as soon as I stopped the vaginal pressaries the day I got my BFN. All meds and stuff should out your system by now? Did you have a chemical or just a BFN? Oh my gosh maybe your preggers! Can you take a photo of the test for us? 😄
Morning lovely! I’m no doctor but I’d say you are pregnant! Remember everything is thrown out after ivf so you could have ovulated at a weird time etc etc. Plus the hcg from the trigger shot is well out of your system....... xx
That looks positive to me!! Omg go get some more tests now! Lol. I'm in New Zealand it's 8:16pm I will be glued to this site waiting for your reply/test!! 😮😂😘😍
I don’t know if they work that way.. There must be hcg in your urine for a positive which is why it’s almost usually impossible to get a false positive test, a false negative is possible however. Not sure if an out of date test can give false positives xx
Could you go get a blood test Hun? I concieved the 2nd time in a month when I hardly saw my husband. I also felt 100% like my period was about to arrive when I got my BFP via IVF 😘 xx

I will do a few more test's today.....so strange....
I don't think it can happen this soon after IVF if hormones are bonkers....

Omg!!!!! I really hope this is good news 😘 I don't think it's unheard of that some people fall naturally after they've tried ivf. Can you phone the clinic and see what they say? They may even ask you to get your bloods tested. Finger crossed hun xxx
It must be so confusing for you.. It's such a strong line! What did the clinic say? I really do hope this is a positive!! I have my scan on Wednesday, so hopefully we will be able to tell people. Still don't feel pregnant. And my cat has been really poorly, he had to have a stomach surgery, but there doesn't seem to be anything wrong!! He might have a heart condition!! Don't know, but I've been so upset and he's been so poorly. I've literally cared about nothing else! Xxx
Yes it is confusing - hard for ivf people get a positive and we cannot contemplate it being true....let's see. The clinic is getting back to me later I just left a message....Did a clear blue and got 3+ pregnant.....
Are you nervous about your scan? It will be amazing to be at that stage that you can tell people. Let me know how it goes.
Your poor cat - hope they can help him. Maybe it is taking your mind of the scan. Hope you are not too stressed about him.
It's so weird! Was your period normal last month!? I really can't imagine why you've got these really positive tests if you aren't pregnant, is it possible to ovulate twice in one month? I really hope you get some answers. If the clinic aren't much help, phone your doctors and ask them to do bloods!! The not knowing must be torture.
I was nervous about my scan, but worrying about my cat, has literally made me not care about it. I know that sounds strange, but my cats have always been my babies and I still don't believe I'm pregnant lol. So I just feel weird atm. My belly and boobs look pregnant, so I'm just going with what will be, will be. Xxx
Oh my flipping god!!!! This is just so amazing. I'm not surprised you feel dazed. So good that they have done bloods and booked you in for a scan. I so hope the next 11 days whiz by. I am so happy for you, I want to give you a massive hug lol. Eeek 😀 xxx

Oh wow! This is crazy!! Please let it be true. I tested negative the cycle after my chemical pregnancy from IVF and hoped for this kind of miracle! Fingers crossed for you xx

The clinic just got back and said it could be true - I have to call GP now and see what they say and hopefully they do a blood test....

Looks positive to me!! Sounds like you are one of those lovely stories you hear of people conceiving naturally after IVF. If your clinic won’t do blood test, you can get it privately- probably will cost you the same as the all the pregnancy tests you are buying!! Sooo excited for you xxxx

oh maybe I can do the private bloods - will check and see if there is anyone local that does it....
Have everything crossed for you that this is a positive!! I know that people go on about it all the time (and it's highly annoying for us ivf-ers) but it does happen!! My brother & SIL were trying for about 7 years, had 2 failed rounds of ivf and after 2nd round got a positive the month after (now their 3 Yr old son!). Apparently all the residues of drugs in your system can make you more fertile. I had another friend who was ttc years to have first baby and she became so fertile after that her 3rd baby was conceived while she was on the pill. So I wouldn't worry too much that you haven't 'been trying'. Stranger things have happened! 😊 Good luck for your blood test - hope it's a good one xxx
Aww thanks for sharing these stories. An old friend of mine tried for 8 years she had a failed ivf and a month after she conceived naturally...I remember her telling me the story and I thought she was bonkers haha

Well this is a very strong test result! Congratulations! I wonder if you were pregnant from your IVF round, but that it took your hcg a while to rise? All a bit of a (very welcome) mystery 😊xx
Good luck lovely. Very rare to get a false positive. I don't blame u I paid for private bloods myself at one point well worth the money for a bit if reassurance xx
I know several people who got pregnant naturally very quickly after a failed ivf, all said they think ivf kick started something in their bodies. I think this could be what has happened to you too.
I’m not surprised, it’s only natural to feel like that. I have to say at nearly 32 weeks pregnant the worry doesn’t go, it eases slightly but I’ve just come to the conclusion I need to trust my body. Wishing you best of luck! Got my fingers crossed for you xxx
