I had my ET yesterday.

After collecting 9 eggs and getting 8 embryos, we only had one good enough to go back in and nothing good enough to freeze.

I went from feeling positive yesterday morning, to really downbeat and negative last night.

and now all I've got to do is wait.

Wait, wait and wait.

I've been told to take a test next Wednesday. Did anyone here with positive tests get any early signs before testing?

(I'm trying not to obsess, just felt like reaching out to you lovely lot whilst sat at work trying to concentrate!)

My daughter didn’t have any symptoms in both her pregnancy before her positive tests. After, well that’s another story . Try not to worry and good luck xx

Hi Olivia,

Just wanted to say I understand how your feel but keep focusing on the fact that it only takes one (sorry I know a cliche). I had ET last week and we only got one put back and none to freeze. I was just relieved that they got 1 and now I am keeping everything crossed it has sticked. I am 8dpt and not any obvious signs that couldn't be the progesterone. I know it's so hard and such a long journey but keep going you're nearly there!! Plan some nice things to do, I have planned something everyday which I find helps a bit. I also put a countdown app on my phone with the embie scan which I look at to remind me that it is only days and not weeks. You've got this, best of luck xx

Hi Olivia, wishing you the best of luck!!! It only takes one 🙏🏼!! Will be hard to assess if symptoms are pregnancy related or recovery from egg collection but all my transfers were performed after I healed. The only symptom I had was slightly sore boobs off and on. I’ve never had any symptoms from the progesterone alone which is why I’ve always known when I’ve had a bfn as absolutely no symptoms or feelings. It’s way too soon, do keep yourself busy, get into some box sets, a good book and some relaxation/meditation you tube videos. I didn’t really have any proper symptoms until around 8 weeks but some women don’t have any at all so try not to worry x

Awww Olivia I’m the same luv, they told me yesterday to try and think as if you are pregnant but I can’t do it. Especially with it being our last time, with the 1st cycle failing it’s hard to think positive in a way. I’m am trying though, the only thing I’m finding is a sort of pressure around my ovaries but I don’t know if that’s the pessaries. Wishing you all the luck in the world hun xx

It’s awful isn’t it!

I had my thyroid removed 1.5yrs ago and have been told I need to increase my meds as soon as I find out I’m pregnant. I know when the levels aren’t right though as my hair starts falling out so am hoping that might give me an early signal! 🤣

I’ve had really achy/restless legs this afternoon, despite going for a walk at lunchtime and almost a right/stretching feeling inside me - you just can’t help read into every little feeling can you?!

We’re already looking into a Caribbean holiday for if it’s not successful - bring on the Zika virus!!!! 🤣

Omg I’m in the exact same boat hun, we got 2 weeks booked off in September and will go to Mexico hopefully if this doesn’t work, we should book the same place and get drunk if we get bad news 😳. I was born with a under active thyroid and they did seminars on me because I was the first to be found in South Wales then Britain, that’s what my mother said happened 🤔😬 x

Great idea - what two weeks? (though I am supposed to be on auntie duty for when my sister has her next baby - the sister that gets pregnant every time she has sex!)

Hopefully get a holiday for the 15th September, we have money from our wedding last year and said if the Ivf works then it’ll go towards baby items or a really nice holiday. Your sister is a very lucky girl x

We had similar! 8 out of 9 fertilised and only 2 made it to blasto. 1 fresh - BFN and frozen to come.

Best of Luck! Maybe this precious little one will be it!!!

Xxx

Stay well with your official tww, hun! For most it's the hardest period. Eat well, rest adequately. Known, sex is no-no after ET. Keep well hydrated. Have my fingers crossed for you. All the best!
