Impatiently waiting for AF to start!

The irony of it all! You spend what feels like your whole life not wanted to see the witch and then the only time when you would appreciate it's timely appearance it's no where in sight! Typical 😩

Anyone else impatiently waiting like me to get going with injections?

Haha. I was like that too. My period has been messed up since HSG and has been a few days late here and there. I was then eagerly waiting for my AF to start and IT DID in my IVF cycle literally bang on 🤦. Then I got worried that I had to do injections and wish it had started later 😖. Throughout IVF you will find yourself in these situations a lot. Try to relax and just trust what the doctor thinks is best for you. Focus on things you can control, like having a good diet and do things which you enjoy doing and take it easy! Good luck X 💗💗

Thanks for this advice, you are so right. No point in being impatient, it will come eventually! Since having my tubes removed I'm always wondering whether my period will be delayed or not as it's always been so regular. Btw different subject: are you glad to have triggered with Buserelin now? I will be triggering with Decapeptyl and not HCG also because of my ohss risk. Do you think it helped? X

In my case I had over 30 follicles in good size when I had my last scan. That got my hopes up, so when I ended up with 12 eggs I was still kind of disappointed. Having said that I really did feel slightly less bloated after I had that buserelin trigger shot. Whether that has reduced the number of eggs I don't know. But just think even if it did, the best quality ones would be the ones that would have made it and been collected anyway. I think regardless of all the different trigger shots, you are still going to have to go with non hcg given OHSS. Try not to think too much and let it affect you. I think this is your first IVF right? There isn't going to be any right answers (even if it wasn't your first). Sorry I hope you don't take that the wrong way. Just know that there is a lot of things you can't control in this process, so thinking too much won't do you any good 😊

Ah no I didn't take it the wrong way at all! It is my first ivf so I'm over thinking everything as usual. Will listen to your advice and just try to let things be! X

Haha yep! I thought she’d rock up on Wednesday, and now she’s decided to come this morning, not great timing with the bank holiday! Enjoy what you can’t have during treatment as a little treat! I’m definitely going to have a glass of wine before my baseline scan!🙈😂xx

Of course she decided to rock up today!! She always chooses the "right" time! In any case you should definitely treat yourself to a glass of wine before your scan. I indulged in two cheeky glasses of wine last night and it felt FANTASTIC! :-D
