I'm probably worrying over nothing, but I can't help but worry! πŸ˜”

So I am 8 weeks and 2 days and this morning I had the tiniest bit of brown discharge on my knickers (literally millimetres big) Saw the midwife (first appointment) she said not to worry, could be implantation bleeding (odd) I went food shopping, went toilet when I got home and there was a bit more when I wiped, it was very light and could mayve be missed if I wasn't analysing the toilet paper. I feel a bit achey in my lower body today and so I am just really worried!! Especially as the last few days or so my boobs don't hurt and the nausea has gone. I have no symptoms, don't even feel as tired anymore!!

Am I stressing over nothing or would you be concerned too! πŸ’™ πŸ’™ πŸ’™

I had this at 6 weeks and panicked phoned the clinic and 111 and was told it will be from all the drugs etc and everything our bodies have been through and not to worry if it's brown as brown blood is old blood..rest and keep your feet up. if you get more or it goes red get checked out xx

Thanks Bailey, just came as a bit of a shock to see it especially as I've not had any before and what with not really having a symptoms anymore. I am literally doing nothing all day now, I hope it stops soon. Thanks for your reply xx

I had this up until 9w6d with my litle boy. I had 5 trips to epu for brown bleeding and period type pains. I was told it was implantation bleeding too and that in first trimester bit of bleeding especially brown can be very normal. I would lose a couple of teaspoons sometimes but little man ok. The pain is also everything stretching. I had period pains/aches right up until I had my little boy at 38 weeks. I honestly wouldn't worry, I know easier said than done. Keep an eye on it but brown completely normal. Congratulations xx

Thanks, that is reassuring to hear. I do feel more achey today, not had that for a few days. I just want to go to sleep and wake up in 7 months time lol. Going to book a private scan next week, I don't want to wait another four weeks. Fingers crossed its all fine. Congrats on your little boy xx

Thank you hun. If it wasn't for the fact I was being scanned at EPU as I just rang and went I would have had the private scan too for reassurance. My pregnancy symptoms just disappeared too, I suddenly had energy and was concerned but then a few days later they hit again and I was exhausted, queasy and a moody cow haha. I too just wanted baby here, I spent the whole pregnancy anxious and now he's 7 months old I still am lol. He/she will be here before you know it, once you have that scan it does help a lot xx

It really is good to hear your experience as it seems similar to how I'm feeling. Thank you lovely xxx

Hi Michelle, just wanted to let you know I’m exactly the same as you. I’m 10’weeks 4 days today and have been having a brown discharge for the past 10 days I even ended up having to wear a sanitary towel 😬 it really upset me and I booked in for an early scan and everything was ok. Saw baby’s heartbeat and really put my mind at rest.

As the ladies say it’s really common but when it happens to you it’s so frightening. Today is the first day I haven’t bled. ( I hope I haven’t spoke to soon) have you had any scans yet ? Xxx

elle80β€’ in reply toBliss44

Oh my goodness, 10 days!! You must have been so anxious, bless you. Fingers crossed it has stopped now so that you can stop worrying! I have read some posts of others experiencing the same, but as you say, it's frightening when it happens to you. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy hun xxx

Hi Michelle080. Oops! Implantation bleeds if they happen, occur 1-5 days after embryo transfer, depending upon the size of the embryo at transfer. If you are still using progesterone pessaries, it could be some leftover "gunk" finding its way out. if it becomes smelly, then pop and see your GP in case you have a bit of infection With regards to the achy feelings you have, your womb is just starting to move upwards, so will be pulling on ligaments, so that's probably what it is. Hope all continues to go well with your pregnancy. Thinking of you. Diane

Thanks Diane, I did think it was odd when she said implantation bleed! Lol. Still on the progesterone.. Meh! 😌

I've not had anymore on my knickers (keep checking) So I'm hoping whatever it is stays away!! What a worry we all have to go through xx

Sending big hugs lovely. Everyone has said what I would, have said. I would worry though it's only natural hun. We worry when we see blood. As for implantation I don't agree with that as Diane says it happens much earlier. Iv known a couple ppl have what you describe around this time and it stopped and things were fine could be something to do with placenta imbedding in I don't know just a thought and that's what a lady I know thought it was when she had it. She's now 30 weeks pregnant with her boy. Rest up lovely. Lots of love πŸ’πŸ˜˜πŸ’

Thanks lovely. It's just nice hearing people's reassurance, hopefully it doesn't continue. When she said implantation bleed, I did want to say, umm bit late for that lol. But said nothing! It looked more like I had a bit of my foundation on my knickers 😌

I'm definitely resting. The housework can wait.. Feet up and watching Judge Rinder haha xxx

I get why you didn't say anything she's a midwife she should know πŸ˜‚

Hope it stops and you can relax lovely.

I'm sure bubus OK πŸ’πŸ˜˜πŸ’

Thank you for your kind words Susi. It's reassuring to hear other people experienced the same xxx

Try not to worry too much (easier said than done) if you look at some of my previous posts I had a lot of bleeding at 6 weeks and all turned out fine and I carried on bleeding until about 11 weeks I think. It was so scary though so totally understand why your stressing xx

Aww thank you! We've all wanted this for so long that as soon as something occurs that we're unsure about it makes us worry and think of the worst case scenario! I just hope that it goes away and never comes back 😁. Xxx

I’ve got everything crossed for you it just goes away. You would think our bodies would give us a break xx

OMG I have this today and I’m 3 weeks + 5 days... so panicked! My clinic advised bed rest which is almost impossible today and to take an extra ustrogen pessary from now on. I have a scan on Friday and just praying it is all ok πŸ™

I wish I could say don’t worry to us all πŸ’–

elle80 profile image
elle80β€’ in reply toLorry-Diddles

Oh no Lorry, have you got a lot or just a little bit? I've been toilet again and nothing at all when I wiped, so I'm hoping it was really nothing and it stays away! Hope yours does too. Hun how are you working out your date, because I would have thought you'd be more weeks than that now.. Did you add 2 weeks on from egg collection? Are you counting from egg collection? Let me know how you get on xxx

Lorry-Diddles profile image
Lorry-Diddlesβ€’ in reply toelle80

Oh Lord.. I’m losing it! It’s 6 weeks. Like you just a bit of brown on tissue? Felt like a period pain earlier now it’s more of a twinge... I’m going to take the next couple of days off work to rest up! Are you able to do that?

Hey hun

Aww you poor thing. Firstly sending you a hug. I had a bit of spotting too and went into a melt down.

The clinic said it was nothing to worry about. They said bleeding is actually quite common apparently upto 30% women get some bleeding.

I know a couple of girls on here have had a bit of blood. One girl I did my 1st cycle with. Her baby is now here safe and sound.

Good luck hun I really hope it's nothing to worry about just another hurdle xx

elle80 profile image
elle80β€’ in reply toNMP1026

Thanks for the hug πŸ€—

I was feeling really fortunate that I didn't get any bleeding, I thought I don't want that added stress LOL I am hoping that it is just nothing but a bit of old blood or the pessaries starting to irritate. I've been toilet again and there wasn't anything nor on my knickers, so hoping i just overreacted as it wasn't a lot. I just feel a bit achey down there today and I've not had that recently!

How are you getting on? Xx

NMP1026 profile image
NMP1026β€’ in reply toelle80

Aww I'm sure it's nothing to worry about but it's such an intense time. We've fought so hard to get and are so lucky to be in this position that we can't help worry.

The pains are crazy too. I'm trying my best not to work myself into a frenzy lol. It's a tough old journey but I'm just so thankful I'm in this position. I never dared dream I would be.

Let us know how you get on. I've everything crossed xx

elle80 profile image
elle80β€’ in reply toNMP1026

It's true, I wonder if we'd worry this much if we accidentally got pregnant after one night lol!

What kind of pains are you getting? I've just started to have a bit of a twinge really low down! Argh. I wish this was all a breeze and I could enjoy it xx

NMP1026 profile image
NMP1026β€’ in reply toelle80

Awe bless you hun. Wouldn't it be lovely to relax and enjoy!

I've been having a mixture of pains. Some that felt like AF cramps. Occasional shooting pains. I've also experienced constipation (sorry tmi) and that's resulted in pains. We've got a lot going on.

I'm having a bit of a mare with my diet. I'm so off fruit and salad. Xx

elle80 profile image
elle80β€’ in reply toNMP1026

I'm the same, the AF feeling disappeared, but has come back today! I get bowl pain too, although I'm still v regular lol.

I have been so naughty lately, got weighed today and put on about 1/2 stone or so lol. I have been eating more, I didn't really eat a lot during the day or bread.. Now I eat anything and everything lol xx

NMP1026 profile image
NMP1026β€’ in reply toelle80

I guess we should expect some pain.

I think my friends think I've gone insane or I have just turned fat and lazy. I used to love doing classes at the gym after work and watched what I ate. Now I'm being less fussy and I'm still trying to figure out a reply for when they ask about the gym xx

elle80 profile image

Ooh that's a tough one.. I hate lying, really rubbish at it.. Perhaps you could say you've pulled a ligament in your ankle and need to rest it!?! 😡 Xx

Hi Michelle, as other said try not to worry much, today in the hospital they told me that I should be back if I had strong bleeding or very sharp pain, otherwise is normal to feel achey. I hope everything is going to be fine with your little one. I know that it is difficult but try to relax (rest and sleep as much as possible). The decision to book the scan for next week is the best you could do! Good luck πŸ€ and let us know how are you doing πŸ˜‰Thinking of you!

elle80 profile image
elle80β€’ in reply toCoqa

Thanks hun. Luckily I'm not in a lot of pain, just getting a couple of twinges down below... I am the Queen at resting haha. So I'm just going to be extra careful for a few days! Hope you feel better soon xx

How's the bleeding? Xx

elle80 profile image
elle80β€’ in reply to

It literally was nothing!! I think because I saw a little bit, I just went into panic mode.. And because my nausea stopped and my boobs don't hurt at all, less tired etc oh and I keep getting little pains low down, I'm still worried!

I've been reading all sorts, which is making me anxious. I read this...

"It’s only then, in the 8th week of pregnancy, that a lack of morning sickness predicts higher chances of a miscarriage, according to a prospective study that tracked symptoms of 2407 pregnant women from early in their first trimester".

I've booked a private scan for next Thursday, but going to change it to Tues instead.

I'm just not feeling it!! Hopefully I'm just being paranoid. Bet you wish you never asked haha. I know I'm sounding crazy xx

β€’ in reply toelle80

Dont be daft, I'm glad I asked. I don't feel sick in the slightest either...I get a slight feeling of nausea if I haven't eaten in a while but that's literally it. You haven't had strong symptoms from the get go have you? I think the above probably applies more to ladies who have had strong symptoms only for them to vanish suddenly. My mum didn't have any morning sickness throughout either of her 2 pregnancies, just a bit of nausea every now and then. If it's any consolation, my boobs felt sore in the night but today they feel normal again! Stay away from Google...How many weeks were you when you had your scan? Xx

elle80 profile image
elle80β€’ in reply to

I was the same with the nausea, I needed to eat all the time just to keep it away and I'd wake up feeling nauseated, but not massively I suppose. I don't think I had that for more than a week, and it probably stopped last week, after the scan. I had my scan on the 15th and I was 7w1day. I should be 8w4days now... My boobs look different too, I'm sure my nips aren't as big lol. Still veiny though (attractive)

Mum said she never really suffered with ms, she said she felt a bit of nausea to start and that was it.

I've changed my appointment to Tues now, so only four days to wait and see. I just can't shift this negatively away! I think if it's still there on Tues, I'm going to buy one of those doppler scans haha πŸ˜‚ xx

β€’ in reply toelle80

I have veiny boobies too! I can totally understand your concern - we all know the unthinkable can happen which is why we get so anxious, but hopefully Tuesday's scan will reassure you. You'll be pleased to learn that once you get to 8 weeks the risk of miscarriage falls to about 3% xx

elle80 profile image
elle80β€’ in reply to

Yeh I have read that, I think I could write a book now haha. Thanks for all the reassuring Jo xxx

Hi Hun, I'm sorry your having a bit of a stressful time. Like you, I inspect the loo paper ( & in my case, the progesterone gel applicator ) each time & this is why we probably notice everything! I had tiny brown specks in the early weeks which I was told was probably just residue from the progesterone. I've been having cramps / stomach pain pretty much all the time too. Also back ache! I've had the odd few days with symptoms & my boobs stopped hurting around 7 weeks. I've had 2 scans in EPU & so far the baby has been fine. I'm terrified of the 12 week scan on Tuesday & know even if that goes well the worrying won't stop! I hope your scan goes really well & afterwards your able to enjoy your pregnancy instead of being a head case like me! 😘 xx

elle80 profile image
elle80β€’ in reply to

Thanks hun, it's nice to know that I'm not the only one worrying and not having loads of symptoms.. I get lightheaded at times, which the midwife said was a symptom, but then read, if you have loss of symptoms, cramps and lightheaded/dizziness phone your gp etc. Confusing lol.

I'm like you, I literally scan the toilet paper, looking for something!! Luckily I only had that little tiny bit and it's reassuring to hear you're getting a few cramps too, maybe we are normal after all.

Good luck with your scan on Tuesday 😘 xx

Fingers crossed we are both normal & are both reassured after our scans πŸ™‚. I totally underestimated how worrying actually being pregnant would be. We should be loving the experience & hopefully before too long we can x
