Must day 2 scan and blood test always be taken at a fertility clinic?

Hi All, I am having some mnc cycles abroad but live in the UK, I would like to find a place, ideally cheap, to have day 2 scans and blood tests taken at the beginning of each cycles without having to make the trip to Belgium. Do I need to go to a fertility clinic or are there other places such as GP or gynecologists where I can perform the task. Pardon my ignorance but I am quite unfamiliar with the way the NHS works. Hi Clementinedam. Lots of clinics abroad have what are known as "satellite" clinics where you can have bloods and scans done in the UK. If yours doesn't, then maybe your GP can advise you. Good luck! Diane

Hi Clementinedam you can get bloods done at gp practice, it was a bit of effort for me to get the appointment dates right (for progesterone & fsh/lh that need to be done on certain days) but worth it as totally free. I don't know about scans but I thought some of those private scanning places do fertility scans. I'd check all OK with your clinic before paying any money for them. I did my tests privately and did a price comparison with clinics suggested by my overseas clinic and clinics I found on the net, I then went with the one most comfortable for me.

Hi where did you get your private bloods done? My gp or local hospital refuse to do them as I’m private! Makes life very difficult xx

NHS or your GP has no reason to do your blood tests as your entire treatment is private and they won't understand the urgency or importance hence why wait?
