Folic acid

Hi all

After our second failed round my consultant has put me on high dose folic acid. My question is am I now unable to take the pregnancare vitamins I was taking as these have folic acid in too. I completely forgot to ask at my appointment and I will call the clinic but you lovely people are so helpful!

Hi Emma, I currently taking both pregnacare and folic acid. Dr didnt say to stop the pregnacare so I have continued with it. But do still check with your clinic x

I was taking high dose folic acid, and just before my cycle started my consultant advised to switch to Pregnacare Max and stop the folic acid. You need to speak to your clinic as I was advised not to take both. I guess it depends on the dosage x

That’s exactly what my clinic said as well. Pregnancare max has a more easily absorbed form of folic acid x
